How to unlock the True Spartan achievement in Metro Last Light - Definitive Guide

During the last level, don't die. If you are taking lots of damage you can pause and reload from checkpoint. I am attaching a video to this but it is kind of spoilery.

Edit: The achievement does not pop until after the ending.

you may want to point out that the cheev does not pop 'til after you have detonated D6.

just to add to that, you cannot change the difficulty setting to Easy if you are aiming for this achievement.

Loaded D6 through chapter select then changed difficulty from normal to easy and the achievement unlocked for me right as the final cinematic plays.

Can confirm 13-5-20 that the comment '...you cannot change the difficulty setting to Easy if you are aiming for this achievement.' is WRONG. You can drop it to easy and it unlocks at the end of the mission.

This is easy, simply not die in the last Chapter, D6, and 50G are yours.
-It can be done on easy.
-It can be done by Chapter Select.

I think everything is clarified, just dont die, and hint for the Train Part, wait till the Train moves back to the right and hit the red Wheel Bar, this stops the Train, now shoot the Wheels till they fall off, followed by a few rounds into the turret.

If you didn't get this achievement because you somehow died: Move the file 'Preferences' from your storage. For some reason you can't copy the file, instead move it to USB if you haven't found all of Artyom's diary pages yet. With the file moved, start the game like normal. Press 'Continue'. If done right, you have passed the guys with the shields and the train crashes in, with the final sequence showing up and the bad ending playing (since you removed your preference files, which includes your stats and the before mentioned diary pages you've collected, you also have zero moral points)
After you have received the bad ending, you get the achievement.

Works brilliantly, also gets the shadow ranger achievement if you haven't got that one

Huge thumbs up from me. I was certain I had got through entire game without killing any humans but I didn't get the achievement at the end and unfortunately I died while defending the platform also. Noticed your solution on here, tried it and got both achievements smile. Was thinking I was going to have to go through the game a 3rd time cry. 100% for this game now dance.

This is attained on the last level. Change the difficulty to Easy before attempting this to make it easier for yourself. Throughout the last part of the game, your allies will kill almost all of your enemies. The only real situations that you'll have to deal with yourself are destroying the tank, and killing the Flamethrower.

When being attacked by the tank, aim for the two wheels. The more damage that is inflicted upon them, the more they turn red. After a few more shots, it will get destroyed. After dealing with the tank and moving to area that's covered, don't pick up the Minigun just yet. Wait until the waves of enemies are killed, and the Flamerthrower shows up. When dealing with the Flamethrower and his posse, you can wait until he gets close and use the Minigun on him.

Level 26 (last), you need to protect the platform from the attacks of the Red Line without dying even once. The confrontation consists of 3 stages, along the edges of the platform there are boxes with ammunition, in the second stage you need to destroy the tank as quickly as possible. First, shoot him at the wheels and finish him off in the tower. Of course, it's easier to get on the lowest difficulty. At the third stage, you can safely throw grenades at the advancing soldiers.
