How to unlock the Giant Killer achievement in Miasma Chronicles - Definitive Guide

Don't attack the collectors when you first get the opportunity, you'll be hopelessly outmatched.
When you begin the second chronicle, story progression will have you face off against some. Pack lots of EMP grenades and health drops anyway.

First possible encounter is in area Crook’s Hollow (Sedentary town to Gator Zone, Old Town Road, then Crook’s Hollow). You can’t get here until you progress the story a few hours - I was level 8. Make a save hen entering. The game suggests you sneak around them to avoid detection but you can battle them and take out at least one. Equip skills that damage enemy armor. Cheevo pops as soon as one is defeated.

There’s another achievement called Recycler for killing ten collectors.

At the first meeting in the first act, it is almost impossible to kill them. In the second act, there will be a mission where, according to the plot, you need to clear the archive of 6 collectors, this is the first time where you can destroy them.

Killed him at the first meeting, and earned the next achievement there - giant killer. So everything is possible
