How to unlock the Flights of Fancy achievement in Microsoft Flight Simulator - Definitive Guide

The prop can't be a turbo prop. I used a Diamond DA62, A320neo, and a Textron Aviation Cessna Citation CJ4

This will come naturally if you're going for Jack of All Planes (300+ mile trips with every aircraft in the Standard edition). Here's the list of those planes for reference, along with their classes:
Airbus A320neo (Airliner)
Aviat Pitts Special S2S (Propeller)
Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental (Airliner)
CubCrafters XCub (Propeller)
Daher TBM 930 (Turboprop)
Diamond DA62 (Propeller)
Diamond DA40 NG (Propeller)
EXTRA 330LT (Propeller)
Flight Design CTSL (Propeller)
ICON A5 (Propeller)
JMB VL-3 (Propeller)
Robin CAP 10 (Propeller)
Robin DR400-100 Cadet (Propeller)
Beechcraft Bonanza G36 (Propeller)
Beechcraft King Air 350i (Turboprop)
Cessna 152 (Propeller)
Cessna 172 Skyhawk (G1000) (Propeller)
Cessna 208 B Grand Caravan EX (Turboprop)
Cessna Citation CJ4 (Jet)
Zlin Savage Cub (Propeller)

Also, if you really hate one of those kinds of planes for whatever reason, you can just leave it on in the background and have the AI do the entire flight. Still counts.

I like to fly KPAM to KMLB with IFR low altitude turned on (high altitude is fine for the airliners). Just over 300 miles and you make progress toward the IFR achievement also. Start the flight, give co-pilot the controls, and go do something else until it's done.

Addtionally, you can set the flight on night time and during the rain, so it will count towards those achievements too.

Just to confirm, does this cumulate over several flights? And do you have to finish full flights from start to finish? I don't appear to have any progress yet but played for about 12 hours.

It has to be start to finish

Can confirm it has to be 300 miles+, start to finish, without saving. I tried a flight and saved it before attempting a landing which I failed. Re-loaded the flight, landed successfully this time but no progress was added to the achievement (stayed on 33% in my case).

Does travel to void this?

None of the airliners unlock this for me (as that is the last vehicle option that I "havent done yet") & 'Jack of all planes' is also stuck on 55% for some reason (even with 600+ miles flights...).

Unlocked for me as soon as my Airbus hit the ground (and bounced way back up again!). Don't need a perfect landing, also got credited with 33% progress before that by crashing a Cessna just short of the runway.

Looks like you also can't speed up the sim clock.

I tried this with Diamond DA62 and it didn’t pop, worked fine for the other 2 planes, just not this one, any advice?

Looks like bugged for me. I'm tracking it since very first 300+ flight (from departure to landing) and Daher T930 - ok (see it in achievement and logbook), Cessna CJ4 - not registered (flew twice, didn't appear in logbook and achievement progress), Boeing 747-8 - ok (didn't appear in logbook, but count in achievement). I dunno how it works. (
