How to unlock the Service with a Smile achievement in Microsoft Flight Simulator - Definitive Guide

There are 8 services to unlock this achievement.

Select A320 to start at a Gate of any major airport. For me I used CYYZ and start at a random Medium Gate. Turn on the battery of the plane and you can get to call ground services in ATC menu.
Select all services including:
1. Fuel Supply (Might take a while depending on where are you in the airport and where is the fuel truck)
2. Power Supply
3. Baggage Service
4. Catering Service
5. Gate Connection
6. Pushback
After the following services requested, go back to the world map and select a propeller plane starting at a Fuel Box location at the same or any other airports and start the fly.
7.Refuel at a refuel station
When you enter the game the fuel adjustment menu will pops up automatically. Adjust the sliders to change the fuel value.
This action will also unlock "Fill 're Up!" achievement.
Then select the A320 again and start your flight at LOWI on a ramp.
Turn on the battery of the plane and you can get to call ground services in ATC menu.

I just want to add that I was thinking this was a bugged achievement and worked at it for awhile and I think I was just rushing the ramp connection as what worked for me was the A320neo and I tried a lot of different airports with ground parking but I only saw the ramp connection option once out of about 8 attempts but missed it as by the time I did the request and it got to me I had already moved the plan forward a little to much I guess. What I think might be helpful is don't use AI and you to the first page of the checklist "BEFORE STARTING ENGINE" page and wait until everything has been completed and then I noticed that "REQUEST RAMP CONNECTION" was an option which it wasn't before I had fully completed the first page of check off which I guess has something to do with not just turning on the "ATC" but also maybe putting power to be able to open the door to connect to. I'm not 100% positive when it changed from being there from not being on the ATC ground list but that worked for me and I did end up getting it to work with my method at the LPMA airport. So don't give up if the ramp connections isn't there when you search at first give the plane time to boot up or whatever has to be turned on fully and powered up before ramp connection is offered in the ground ATC. I hope this helps. Just wanted to say I did have "MANAGE RADIO COMMS" and "CONTROL AIRCRAFT" by the AI off so as to not go past where ramp connection is offered. You can click "AUTO COMPLETE PAGE" on the checklist to fully complete "BEFORE STARTING ENGINE" and wait. you will notice a % counting up and when it reaches 100% that should be good enough to then request the ramp connection.

Hey guys! Yeah the ramp one is also bugging me since I remember I've used that during Alpha test but I've tried several airports but they don't offer the service. That's why I tried our good old classical LOWI and there is it!!!

I did EDDF Ramp 2 in a B748 with all of the services available there. I also did a jetway, and nothing. My tracker is at 75%.

Ramp connection was really tricky, as I struggled to get an offering for this. Finally got it on Madeira (LPMA), make sure you are well positioned at the ground spot as the ramp may not connect correctly (make sure it connects to the plane, door open, etc.). Used the A320neo

Hey, looks like you have to request all services and also request service end on all in order for achievement to pop.

Regarding Ramp selection looks like you need to be at a large Ramp if using the A320.

It took me a few attempts to get it, after trying all 8, with no luck, i realized i had to wait for the fuel truck to connect then select how much fuel you want.

How do you start at a gate? Every time I pick a plane and a departure/destination location the only option I have is to fly.

Thank you DJ Batfink! I'd done all the rest but didn't realise if you left the fuel truck for a while it brought up the fuel menu automatically.

Once I did that and added fuel the achievement popped.

Keep in mind they all need to complete their service for it to count. Ramp only works on the A320 if you have a large ramp. Not a medium or small, then you won't get the option. Just select the airport, and use the drop-down menu under it to look for large ramps and pick that spot. Turn the battery on, call for it and let it do its run. Once it disconnects it should be marked as complete for that part.

You need to select a large gate to get the ramp connection option. Took me a couple tries before I found one in the drop menu under departure.

To add to this. For some reason I could not for the life of me, get the jetway connection to work. The gate would just get stuck for not move for whatever reason. I went to Logan Airport in Boston(KBOS) with any gate medium and there I got it to unlock. Let the gateway connect to the plane.

Same problem with the jetway. I get a ground control message about unable to connect retry later. Once it attempted to and stopped short.

I had some issues with the jetway not working. I finally got it at the Sydney airport on a big gate with the A320. It didn't work in 3rd person view but from the cockpit view it popped. Buggy assed mode.

Following HXT 71 post, I was able to get it to work. Be in cockpit camera (not chase external view), and complete the "before starting engine checklist". Literally changed nothing else and it worked. A320 on a Medium gate.

I used the A320 for all of these except the jetway connection, I had to use a 747 for that one.

The fuel truck took like 20 min to show up that was frustrating.

I have notice the smaller the airport the sooner the fuel truck will arrive . I went to a really small airport it arrive in 2 minute

Gateway Connection was called "Jetway" for me in A320 at CYYZ.

You have to very patient with the fuel services. Make sure the popup for both 'refuel station' and 'fuel supply' appear and that you change the values. In the case of the 'fuel supply', make sure it's disconnected also.

This didn't pop until I requested pushback not just from CYYZ (with a jetway connection) but also from RJTT (with a ramp connection). I don't think this was a delay like WhoIsJohn117 experienced, as it was 14 hours after I had last played and popped immediately when I requested pushback at Haneda. So if the instructions above don't work for you, request all the things again from a different type of parking slot.

If you're having issues with the jetway refusing to connect, in my case it was because the A320neo didn't fit the gate (apparently) so I switched to the 747 and it worked immediately. Maybe gate size has something to do with it but I'm not sure.

You need a 'Gate Heavy' at CYYZ to get the Gate connection and a Ramp Large for the ramp. Everything else works as described and you only have to turn on the two battery switches to contact ATC ATIS then select Ground Services and wait for the services to complete and acknowledge. Fuel truck will popup a menu when ready to fuel. Internal or external view is irrelevant, but best to watch the action from outside 🙂
It would be useful if the original guide was updated to reflect this as with these two corrections it works perfectly on XBox and I assume PC SU5 Hotfix2.

Great achievement guide, pinged as soon as gateway disconnected thank you. Gate details was slightly different as I think lax had an update recently
