How to unlock the Working for the Weekend achievement in Microsoft Flight Simulator - Definitive Guide

*** NO LONGER APPLICABLE. Unfortunately, the MIRAMAR Landing Challenge was removed with WU7 ***

Once you have 4 hours+ flight time on your profile, you can do the MCAS MIRAMAR Landing Challenge which appears on the top left tile on the Main Menu (where the Discovery Flights usually are) to finally get this on Xbox. My achievement didn't pop right away, though. For some reason it popped while I was checking the progress on an update in the content manager.

This took about 10 minutes to unlock after I met the requirements. It might take other people a while too. I went back into the same challenge and it unlocked just before I landed again.

Oh great … so , this is the challenge with the F18 hornet ?
My game seems to be freezing while loading when I want to do fly with that plane.

@arctroop01 Check content manager and see if the landing challenge is one of the updates. Not sure if mine was because I automatically went into content manager and ticked everything to download.

I've completed it twice and it hasn't popped for me. Been waiting about 20 minutes and nothing. Guess I'll have to do it again and again until it unlocks. My pilot profile shows that I completed it, but the achievement didn't pop

Update: Just popped for me. I quit out of the game and re-launched it and the achievement unlocked during the initial load screen before the main menu. Not sure if this will work for everybody, but it's worth trying if the achievement doesn't pop straight away

Anyone know of any other requirements for getting the challenges to appear? I've clocked in well over 4 hours and it's still only showing Discovery Flights.

Strangely, This challenge only appeared for me after receiving the completionist achievement. Before that point the top left tile in the main menu was discovery flights.

That sucks, I already have completionist and still no challenge tile...

EDIT: It appeared for my after 80 hours of playtime.

I didnt even need to flight 4 hours, it appeared to me after doing a single discovery flight.

I went in Discovery and landed 2 different and have 9 hours, but nothing appears. Have acces to everything in content manager, from Cloud Gaming seen.

Still nothing showing for me for this, just the Top Gun free addon constantly being the top left tile on homepage

New weekly challenge available as of 29/09/22. Top left tile in the main menu, can be selected manually by clicking the blue line in the box. You are looking for the Entebbe, Uganda landing challenge. This will likely be similar to previous challenges, whereby they will disappear at random.

Seriously poor performance from the developers. It's apparently just too much to flag an already-existing activity as a weekly challenge.

I don't know how some people have been getting this to unlock in February. I have 480 hours and all I'm still seeing are the Maverick add-on and two Discovery flights

So As of 3/21/23. The First Flight Airport Landing Challenge Will be Counted to unlock this Achievement.

So what you need to do is Complete the landing Challenge No matter how bad you do ,And the Achievement Should Pop up after you go back to main menu

At the main menu the weekly activity is on the top right side (to the right of World Map and above News)

complete this to unlock this achievement.

Guys, don’t leave a negative review for this guy just yet. I just looked into the weekly activities on the forum here on trueachievements and they are a limited time occurrence that are dropped from time to time. There’s literally only been 12 activities since launch. So just be patient, it literally just launched for Xbox.

I don't actually see this achievement in the game. If you go to the Pilot Profile and to the Achievements section I can't see it there.

Doesn't seem to be active on the Xbox version currently, as far as I can see anyway. Hopefully fixed soon.

I posted this during the release of the windows 10 version. A lot could have changed since then, I remember having trouble finding it on the windows 10 version so when I did find it I put the solution up

It might not be active anymore or be enabled on xbox
