How to unlock the Go for the Silver achievement in Microsoft Jigsaw - Definitive Guide
Got my first silver medal this month for completing 11 days = 6000 coins. So that means you have to play at least 10 months...
Completing all 3 challenges on 1 day gives you an extra 150 gold coins.

You can go back to previous months by changing the date.

Just to let everyone know, you can change the date to get all of the daily challenge achievements completed without waiting a year. (I have all the daily challenge achievements in 6 days)
All you need to do is change the date to the last day of a given month (I did January 2021-December 2021. People who went before that had trouble downloading the challenges) and then launch the game. Afterwards, you're good to go.
Now, I will explain the method in which I believe is the fastest to complete the medals.
This guide assumes you'll be using the premium edition of the game. (2x daily challenge coins)
There is one guy who made walkthrough videos on YouTube, but they're really not that helpful. (not his fault) It's faster to do it by yourself. If you'd like to know why that is, read the spoiler.
Firstly, on a given month, complete the "Jigsaw Jammer" challenge for every single day. This should get you past silver, and around halfway to gold on most months. Jigsaw Jammer requires you to exert the least amount of brain power, and is also the fastest. Even on expert, there are only a handful in the entire year which will require more than one try.
Then, go around to all of the days, looking for expert lock breakers. Complete them, and also the 'easy' bug catcher for that day. (if there's an expert or hard lock breaker, the bug catcher is guaranteed to be easy) You will receive a daily bonus as well, which is somewhat helpful.
For the lock breakers, you want to connect the puzzle towards a corner as fast as possible. Then, find all of the pieces with a flat edge for that corner, and put them all in a section. Lastly, put them all together and the puzzle will be done.
For the bug catchers, (even the easy ones can be huge puzzles.) you want to try to trap the bug. This is just done by placing pieces near the bug and he will get trapped eventually. It is also sometimes faster to just drag random pieces on the board and he will corner himself, leaving just a couple pieces for you to fill in.
If you do not have the gold by the time that's done, scale back to 'hard' lock breakers, and complete those days.
Good luck!
