How to unlock the Flipping Out achievement in Microsoft Solitaire Collection - Definitive Guide

If you've completed this on WP8, this will pop after completing a single game of Solitaire.

Microsoft Solitaire Collection (WP)Flipping OutThe Flipping Out achievement in Microsoft Solitaire Collection (WP) worth 8 pointsFlip over 10,000 cards.

Aside from that, it's a standard cumulative achievement. Note that setting Klondike to Draw 3 only counts as one card flipped, so that is not an easy way through the achievement. If you want to click away to flip cards and unlock this sooner, Klondike to Draw 1 and Standard Scoring so the game doesn't end will do the trick.

Flipped cars are not counted until you win or lose the game.

I have 200/200 on WP. Unfortunately, this did not unlock for me. Fortunately, the other more difficult stat-based achievements did unlock (i.e., King of the Hill, Board Yet, and Classic Speed Run).

I tried completing a Pyramid game on WP and then Win 8, but no luck. Maybe completing Klondike on WP, then Win 8 would work, but I haven't had time to try yet. I may just have to click through.

You may want to add that you might need to complete a regular game (Klondike in my case) for this to pop.

Made the change. I completed a game of Klondike as well for it.

The Solution of Fuzzmeister worked perfect.

just a side-note:
i don't know if it was my pc or it's a bug ... i left it open over night, but the next day the game and the macro-tool were very very slow near a software crash (about 30% cpu and 1gb RAM!) and Solitaire was very laggy ...
i didn't want to kill the app in the task manager so i finished the game but it took very long.

The WP version of the game suffered similar performance issues. It remains the only game that could drain my phone's battery while it was plugged in. It doesn't surprise me that this version also has the same issue.

In the absence of a stat counter in the Win8 version, that's how it was in the WP8 version.

I just wanted to add that you get this while working on the other achievements. It popped for me while working on the 100 boards cleared achievement. I had already finished the 100 FreeCell games as well. No grinding or macros needed.

I've got all the achievements except the 3 medal related ones but I do have 4 gold and this achievement hasn't unlocked. Should it be taking that long?

Does anyone know if the Daily Challenges count towards this at all?

I had that same question, TangerineGamer. I'm going to be doing dailies all year so I didn't want to bother going for this separately if I was going to get it eventually anyway.

Is there any way to see somewhere how many cards you have flipped over?

You can see the number of cards flipped in the WP version, but I don't think it's visible in Win 8.

Anyone have this achievement shown as Completed in the achievement list and on xbox.com, but isn't counted toward the gamerscore or achievement total?

I just found out that you can move a cursor around to various locations while playing klondike. If you put it on 1-card draw and standard scoring, you can move the cursor (with the arrows keys) over the draw pile and hold down the enter key. It will flip through the cards without the necessity of downloading a macro. Set something heavy on the enter key and leave it overnight and I would imagine it will pop. I will be doing that tonight!

Pandaman822, your suggestion does not work.. Indeed, I've done everything you said but after 2 minutes I do not know what happened but the cursor switch to the card next to the pile and stop the process... I tried 20 times, and it always the same... Any tips ?

You can put something heavy on the "D" key which draws cards. However, upon trying this overnight the game freezes about 2-3 hours in on a tablet RT for me.

Just wondering how long this took people - I've done 100 Tripeaks boards and about 3 hours of the 'holding 'd' down boosting' on Klondike. Unsure if I'm on the cusp, way off or something is amiss?

I've been counting card flips, and no achievement :(

Yeah same here. Cheevo not popping. Takes 7 seconds to flip 24 cards = 205 cards a minute = 12,343 cards a hour...I've let it go with a socket on the "D" key 4 different times for a total of 10 hours now...No cheevos yet

I'm confused as well here. Certainly would have thought this would have popped for me by now. Tried the D click method for over an hour and it still doesn't seem to be popping. Very confusing

Make sure you finish the game you have flipped all the cards with, it doesn't credit flipped cards until you win/lose the game

i'm not sure how everyone else is going about this, but I did it in one swoop using the TinyTask program that Fuzzmeister mentioned. Only took a little over an hour

For those that are having a problem unlocking. Either the glitch is fixed or I fixed it on my game by unlocking single game medals. I checked after I unlocked a few medals and the bar counter under the achievement was at 8,734 cards flipped. I unlocked the cheevo shortly after just playing Pyrmid. Good luck & I hope this works for all that know they have probably flipped 10 million cards like me! Ha!

My counter appears to have reset to 0/10,000 - any ideas?

The counts displayed on the this achievement (and also the two 100 games achievements) reset every time you start the app. Don't worry! The actual counts haven't reset, they start counting again as soon as you play a regular game (not Star Club or Daily Challenges). Daily challenges do not count toward cards flipped over.

I don't know if Daily Challenges count or not. I just finished my 8 gold medals and I checked the achievement progress for this and had 0/100. I played a quick game of Klondike outside of Daily Challenges and when it was done my counter went from 0 to 6463, so maybe the Daily Challenges count...

It unlocked for me at the end of a game of 1 suit Spider. I thought I had completed a Klondike, but perhaps I hadn't. Or perhaps I needed to win, as I did on Spider.

Download a macro recorder and let your mouse click for you all night. I left it going 9 hours and finished the game to get the achievement. Tiny Task is the one you want. In settings check continuous playback then hit record, click on the deck 10 or so times and stop recording. Move the program to the side and hit play.

I also noticed that the counter seemed to reset whenever I did a Star Club or Daily Challenge, but don't fear! As soon as you play a standard game (I am working on 100 Klondike wins) your count returns and starts adding. The reset happens to the two 100 win achievements as well, but they similarly come back as soon as you play a standard game.

That said, I don't know whether Daily Challenges count for this. I came here to check on that, but since we don't know, I'll do a test to confirm tonight.

Just found a fast way to boost:

Start a new TriPeaks game, flip all the cards from all deals till the end, then finish the game ASAP in a few extra steps. That guarantees at least 70 flips in less than 20 seconds. Start a new game and repeat.

If the game prompt to give you extra boost, just pick "Give me an Extra Deal!" (middle option) to add you a few more cards to flip in one game.

I just spent half an hour from 7xxx till the achievement pops.

Up vote if it helps :)

An even faster way to get this achievement on Windows 10 is to use an auto clicker. SpeedAutoClicker is the best one I used. You can download it at: https://www.speedautoclicker.net/

When you first open up the program after installation, set the settings to this (you can use F keys instead of ~):
External image

Open up Solitaire and select TriPeaks. With the online servers closed, that means you won't have to watch ads and be asked if you want to use an extra card (Joker) or an extra deal in every single game of TriPeaks or Pyramid. Choose the extra deal one and press the hotkey on the huge pile of cards on the bottom of the screen. When it tells you "No more moves", press the hotkey again to turn off and hit "New Game" after giving up. Rinse and repeat until you get the achievement.

This will come naturally as you play for other achievements. The counter also shares with Windows 8 version of this game. Start one more game and flip one more card if you already reached the required stats.

This is a cumulative achievement. At this point, it's unclear if the daily challenges count towards this total. You may very well unlock it while working towards "King Of The Hill," especially if you focus on Klondike games. If you decide to grind it out, Klondike is easily the fastest way to do it. Set up the game so that you're flipping one card at a time and then simply continue cycling through the deck over and over again. There's no limit to how many times you can go through the deck, so continue until you get bored and then finish the game. Do not quit out. The achievement unlocked for me when I finished a game that I'd won, but I don't think that winning the game is a requirement for the flipped cards to count towards your total.

If you have a W8 PC, you can also record a macro that will allow you to automate this process. There are a number of different programs available, so choose your favorite.
