How to unlock the Go for the Silver achievement in Microsoft Solitaire - Definitive Guide
**** This is for the iOS and Android versions of the game ****
****EDIT ****
There has recently been an update allowing you to revisit previous months so buying one month of premium will allow you to get all badges. Thanks to Dr Tinus for the info. I will leave this solution up in full in case its ever reverted.
You will need either your free month of premium or to purchase at least 1 month of premium for this to work correctly, I understand there are guides out there that will be fairly similar i.e changing date however this is to ensure that you can use your premium at the same time as changing your date.
Steps
1. Open Solitaire on your device
(Doing this will ensure the game syncs the data and signs you in correctly as it seems to be
a bit hit and miss when the date is set incorrectly)
2. When signed in and you are on the home screen press the home key on your device and go
into settings > Date/Time and set the date to the last day of the month you wish to work on
e.g November 30th (This will allow you to work on the entire month of November without
having to keep changing your date)
3. Go back into Solitaire and you will see that your premium has disappeared. This is because
the subscription is based off the start date and you are currently before this date. You will
also see the Daily Challenges with today's date on it. Don't worry about the date shown,
tap Daily Challenges. Using the example above you will load into the
Daily Challenges for November 30th, you can tap the calendar tab and have access to the
entire month too.
4. Once in Daily Challenges press the home key and change your date back to the correct one.
5. Go back into Solitaire and you will see the little premium badge reappear at the top right
but the calendar will remain in November.
Now this is how you set it up and you can begin to pop challenges left, right and centre earning you double coins for each one completed. This is by far the fastest method I have found and saves you from having to purchase premium for a full year providing you can get it done within a month, if not just buy another month.
As I said I know there are similar guides but I couldn't find one for this specific method so here it is. Let me know in the comments if there are any additions that need to be made!

This no longer works. You can get premium to appear for previous months using this method, however as soon as you finish a game it automatically brings you to the current date and does not count the game played in the previous month as a premium game.

Premium is included in GamePass

*** This solution is intended for the PC version of the game. ***
This achievement can be attained while working towards the "Go for the Gold" and "Go for the Bronze" achievements. If you want to get this achievement while doing the "Go for the Gold" achievement please check out my guide for that achievement.
With Microsoft Solitaire Collection closed, change your computer's date to one year prior (So the same month you're currently in but last year. I usually chose the 25th of the month to have enough days available). Next start up Microsoft Solitaire Collection. ** If you want to get the achievements quicker I recommend buying the Premium Edition. ** Now start doing the Daily Challenges starting from the first date of the month. Try to do all five challenges for each day. If you are stuck on a challenge, skip it to save yourself the time. Assuming you've purchased the Premium Edition, it will take you about 5-7 days of challenges to get the Silver Badge. Now close Microsoft Solitaire Collection and change the date to the following month. Reopen Microsoft Solitaire Collection and repeat the process for 9 more months.
Once you've done 10 months of Silver Badges you can start working towards Bronze Badges. You will only need to do so for 2 months since you've already received 10 Bronze Badges while working towards Silver. Bronze Badges should take you about 2-3 days of challenges, assuming you've purchased the Premium Edition.
If for some reason the achievement doesn't pop, close Microsoft Solitaire Collection and change the date back to today's date. Reopen Microsoft Solitaire Collections and the achievement should pop right away.
** Some people have reported glitches on getting the achievement to pop. I have never had this issue on any Microsoft Collection I played, so I cannot confirm whether it is "glitchy." **
** I don't know if this method would work on a mobile device. I cannot confirm whether it does or not. **
** 2019 Update - A user has stated that they cannot use Premiums services on the prior months. I no longer have Premium, so I cannot confirm this. Either way the solution works but it will take longer. **

It shouldn't be. The iOS app and pc version synced seamlessly for me. Then again it's been a while.

Now that I think about it iOS didn't have the daily challenges yet when I played in iOS. Beelzebozo id go on your pc and start it up to get everything synced back up. Aagame007 are you doing it on your pc and having the same issue?

New solution following KillaQueens515 PC method as of 2019
KillaQueens515 gave a good method however since about a year or two ago your premium cannot follow to previous months. But I have found a workaround to help speed this grind up.
1.) Make sure you are premium. It is 1.99 membership that blocks ads and give extra coins.
2.) Change date to any prior month.
3.) Open Daily Challenges under your non premium month you chose (ex. Im doing June 2019). DO NOT START ANY GAME YET OR BACK OUT TO MAIN MENU!
4.) Switch the date back to the current date and voila!!!!!!! You have premium for the previous months. Downside is that every game(day) you finish, it takes you back to the current month dates but you just use this method every time as long as you are a premium member.
ALSO from what I heard if achievement don't unlock, just get a medal in current time to sync up with servers.

Great workaround! I definitely used this method after reading it.
I also had horrible issues with syncing. By the time I was done with the game I had 15 bronze, 15 silver and 12 golds I think. What I THINK works is (any one of, if not all) reinstalling the game, restarting your computer, signing out and back in via the Xbox App, and then trying to play for medals. Hopefully that helps anyone else stuck with syncing issues!

This solution is also good for the following achievements:
All the solutions above have mostly only explained how to get to the previous months, but not how to get the medals the fastest way possible.

But what is now the fastest way to level?
I guess...
1. Go to January 2019
2. Now start playing Klondike one day at a time. (Klondike is BY FAR the easiest mode you can play.)
If you have any questions, suggestions, or critic, the best way to tell me is the comment-section :)

This solution in German:
The Go for the Bronze achievement in Microsoft Solitaire Collection (UWP) worth 82 pointsWin 12 bronze Daily Challenge badges
The Go for the Gold achievement in Microsoft Solitaire Collection (UWP) worth 220 pointsWin 8 gold Daily Challenge badges
The Diamonds are Forever achievement in Microsoft Solitaire Collection (UWP) worth 96 pointsWin a diamond Daily Challenge badge
All the solutions above have mostly only explained how to get to the previous months, but not how to get the medals the fastest way possible.
1. I just got the monthly subscription to get more points. You should do the same if you want to take the FASTEST way!
2. In the meantime, it is also possible to go to the previous months and years without any problems.

Now you have two different options.
Why Klondike?I do it so that I get all the BRONZE medals first. When I'm done with it, I'll go back to January 2019 and keep playing Klondike until I have SILVER and go to next month. I do the same with GOLD but from then on you probably have to switch to the other modes as well.
Of course, you can also just get gold directly every month. Just play Klondike every day for the month and once there's no Klondike left you play another variation where you're good with.

This solution in German:
This guide applies to all four of the medal achievements.
I think you now need to buy a month of premium to access the later challenges. I tried the date change method and the medals did not add to the counter. (Plus, premium lets you get the medals twice as fast, so much more efficient)
Go to this website for the solutions to the challenges:
https://solutions-microsoft-solitaire-collection.com/daily-c...
And start back at January. As the year progresses, the guy seemingly gets quicker at solving the challenges. (He gets better at Solitaire) so I'd do January and February with Bronze medals, March and April with Silver medals, May through November with gold medals, and December with a Diamond. A gold medal CAN be achieved by doing them all in order, but that is simply not the fastest way.
In this section I'm referring to the length of the video solutions that you'll be following for the challenges. Spider and Pyramid tend to be the longest ones. Some spider ones are upwards of 5 and a half minutes, with the longest one being 11 minutes! Pyramid is generally around 2 and a half minutes, but what makes it as bad as Spider is because there's never rarely an "Easy" (Short) one that is less than a minute and a half, and they can reach up to four minutes. So, logically start at day one of a month and before doing a challenge, check Spider and Pyramid. If they're longer than you wish, say 2 minutes and 50 seconds or above, you can just move onto the next day, and forget about the other challenges, even if they're short. However, if you see a short expert challenge around that you want to snag you can do that since they give a lot of points, or also if there's a longer one that's about 3 minutes and is an expert challenge, just go ahead and do the whole day. You can skip several days in the month and still get gold, so try to avoid the long ones. Like I said earlier, Spider is the crucial one because it can be as low as 40 or 50 seconds, but can range up to 11 minutes. So that's the one you'll most likely be checking to decide whether you want to start a day.
One more tip for this, it is extremely helpful to play the videos on 0.5 speed, so you can just follow what the guy does and never have to pause the video. This makes it progress twice as slow, but ultimately is faster since you're never pausing. Once you get better, and you will, you will be able to almost predict what the guy will do since you know what the logical best move is. Once you get to this point, you can play the videos on 0.75 or even normal speed.
ALL of the medals took me about 60 hours. (12 bronze, 10 silver, 8 gold, 1 diamond)
