How to unlock the Irregularity achievement in Microsoft Sudoku - Definitive Guide

Unless they make an irregular shape puzzle type, you're going to need to play Daily Challenges to get this. Not all Irregular challenges require you to build "houses" though, but you might be able to get 100 shapes that way as well.

I found a day (June 4 in my case... I got it on "MS Number Puzzle", the Japanese equivalent) where there was an Irregular challenge that required 4 houses. That made it nice because the houses flash every time you complete one. I played the same challenge over and over again until the achievement popped.

It'll pop in the middle of the challenge if you hit 100. You don't have to finish the challenge.

It's worth noting that you will get this LONG before you get the going for Gold or Bronze, so unless you're dying to grind it early, there's no real reason to focus on it.

Do these stats reset as well, just as the games played & won do? Or do you have to get them in one run?

I don't know. I ground them out. I know some people have complained about resets, so I would suggest doing them at once.

I can confirm that any irregular house shape across all 3 challenge types will work. I unlocked this achievement playing a column game and making a irregular house pattern.

I tested this today. I started both the versions, and thought I'd just grind all 100 shapes out. I didn't have to however: In the Japanese version, it popped at just 10 houses, and in the regular version, it popped at 25. I had done a lot of shapes in the previous month, because I did all the daily challenges for the achievement. So, this has taught me two things: 1) The game DOES save the total amount of shapes/houses, and you can get this achievement over multiple play sessions. 2) The reason why I had to do less shapes in the Japanese version, is because during the challenges in the previous month, I made some extra shapes/houses in the challenges where it wants you to do rows or columns instead. So try and focus on making houses in the irregular puzzles, even if the game wants you to focus on another objective.

This achievement requires that you completely solve 100 Irregular Shapes. Irregular shapes are the odd-shaped colored areas that appear in some Daily Challenges. Each time you completely and correctly fill a shape (with the numbers 1-9) and the shape flashes, that counts as one irregular shape. This will undoubtedly unlock in your trek to earning the badges, but if you want to get it out of the way, load up an Irregular Shape Daily Challenge and repeatedly complete it. If the challenge is of a lower difficulty, this will take less than one hour total.

The achievement opens after filling sectors of the same color in daily tasks.
If your goal is to complete, consider that the achievement is a story achievement, it will open approximately after completing tasks in 40-45 days. If you want to get the achievement quickly, open any Irregular daily, in which there will be a task to fill 2-3 rows or columns and complete it 13-14 times, completely filling all the sectors except the side ones, them last, so as not to fulfill the condition in advance
