The Forge Towers are the gray symbols on your map, that have to be activated in order to reveal the whole map. There are 12 all together, 6 in each location. All you have to do is climb up one of them and when you get to the top there will be an anvil in the center, walk next to it and you will receive a prompt to hit RB, once that is done the Tower is activated.
