How to unlock the Jaws of Death achievement in Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor - Definitive Guide

To attract the caragors you have to shoot the large slabs of meat hanging from structures. What is important to note is that you do not have to shoot five different slabs of meat. I got the achievement from only shooting one. I was in a stronghold and shot one and five or more caragors were attracted to it all at once.

My video shows you exactly how and where to get it, so if you're stuck trying to find the bait, I show you a good location, you don't need to do it 5 separate times, I got mine with 1 bait sack.

Scattered around the various regions and Uruk Strongholds of Mordor, you will often time come across large bundles of meat that are strung up underneath bridges, walkways, and arches of the many different structures in these aforementioned areas. Their size usually gives them away, though when in Wraith Mode, they are easily visible due to their green/blue hue they emit.

Overall, this simple achievement is as easy as taking out your Bow and shooting a bundle of meat down from it's location. When the meat hits the floor, Caragors will come running across Mordor to the area and begin killing everyone in sight. There are plenty of opportunities to work on this achievement during the course of your playthrough, especially on a particular Outcast Rescue Mission that tasks you with using the bait to lure Caragors into a Uruk camp. Once you have shot down five pieces of meat, thus luring in wild Caragors, this achievement will unlock.

Bait are large chunks of hanging meat scattered throughout Mordor. It looks like a pig or cow carcass and can be shot with + to make it fall to the ground and attract Caragors. Each piece of bait can attract multiple Caragors so it can take less than five individual bait attempts to attract all five. I was able to unlock the trophy on the third piece of bait.

A piece of caragor bait up close. Most are found hanging much higher from the ground.
A great location to find a lot of bait is the West Garrison, at the southernmost point of the map. You will go there during the “Wraith” Dagger Mission as well.

In order to earn the trophy that's called "Jaws Of Death", you will need to draw out Caragors by destroying Bait five times.

Bait looks like a hanging piece of meat. You can find them all over strongholds in either Udun or Nurm. When you see a Bait nearby, hold down cn_L2 and press cn_R2 to shoot your arrow and destroy that bait. Moments later, you will see Caragors coming out of nowhere and start their assault on the Uruks.

Do this at least five times and the trophy is yours for good. Happy hunting and good luck!

We just shoot 5 times at pieces of hanging meat and after a while the caragor comes running. And the trophy is yours.

Not 5 times into pieces of meat, but to attract 5 caragors. Two pieces of meat were enough for me, each of which attracted three Caragors. You can’t get this trophy only if you never shoot at meat (and in one mission of the bow legend, the additional condition will be to kill 5 orcs with caragors and a lot of meat, there this trophy is taken on the first try, even if you eat, you’ve never shot at meat before )
