In Talion's attribute tree, you can unlock additional rune slots for his dagger. You begin with one unlocked, and so will need to unlock three additional rune slots. The three additional runes will cost 60, 80 and 380 Mirian, respectively, meaning that you need 520 Mirian to unlock your rune slots and this achievement.
How to unlock Mirian:
- Challenges. The game has hunting and survival challenges, and each challenge rewards Mirian. This will also assist you with:
- Ancient Artifact. The ancient artifacts are scattered around Mordor, and each on nets you an easy 50 Mirian just for picking it up. They are located on your hud and map with a white hexagon that has a line drawn towards the center in each corner, and can only be collected while in wraith form. This will also assist you with:
- Ithildin. Ithildin are runes inscribed on walls throughout Mordor, and each one grants you Mirian for collecting them. They are located on your hud and map with a white icon that has three spikes on the bottom, and can only be collected while in wraith form. This will also assist you with:
- Weapon Missions. Each of your weapons has five missions throughout Mordor, and each one grants you Mirian for completing them. They are located on your map with the icon for each weapon, your sword, bow, and dagger. This will also assist you with:

Throughout the game, you'll earn Mirian for completing various tasks. The most reliable sources come from completing each of the weapon based challenges.
Once you have enough Mirian, you can unlock rune slots by spending this currency in the upgrades menu or in the dagger runes screen. Unlock 4 dagger rune slots (you don't have to equip runes to them) and you'll get this trophy.
