This achievement requires you to eliminate all 5 warchiefs before any other uruks get promoted to warchief. I did this while working on Ratbag's story arc, in between "Climbing the Ranks" and "The Warchief."

"The Warchief" is Ratbag's final story mission and requires you to eliminate a warchief so that Ratbag can take his place. This is the last warchief you eliminate! Don't go straight for this warchief when the mission appears! Eliminate the other 4 warchiefs first, and then begin Ratbag's mission.

So here are the steps:

1. Gather Intel. You must gather intel on each warchief to learn their identity and the requirements to bring them out of hiding. This can be done by following the Green Intel markers on your HUD which will highlight specific uruks you can interrogate to gain intel, or will lead you to items you can pick up off the ground. The other option is to hunt down captains which always allow you to interrogate them and use their intel to learn about the warchiefs. This can also be linked to the next step.
2. Eliminate your target's captains. Every warchief has captains that are loyal to them. Warchief's specific captains are shown by having a white line link the warchief to a captain. If you do not eliminate the captain prior to fighting the warchief, then you have to fight them all at once. This can leave you outnumbered and outmatched. Instead, eliminate their captains first. Mark them as your target, hunt them down, and take them out. Also, use their interrogation to learn more information about new warchiefs.
3. Perform the necessary steps to show the warchief. There are a number of different tasks required to bring the warchief out from hiding. For mine, they were:
- Eliminate 35 uruks
- Stealth kill 5 uruks
- Grab the warchief's supporter and hold him for 20 seconds
- Eliminate 20 uruks while taking no damage
- Eliminate 2 berserkers
Once you've done the required task, the warchief and any captains that you have not killed will appear, and you can fight them.
4. Kill the warchief. This is easier said then done, primarily due to the fact that some of the requirements to bring the warchief out of hiding can be a reallllllll pain. For instance, in the one where I had to fight 35 uruks, when the warchief finally appeared I was being chased by roughly 60 uruks and 2 captains that had happened to show up. The only way I was able to pull off this kill was by using the warchief's weaknesses. I noticed that this warchief could be instantly stealth killed, so I was able to climb some walls and kill him from above in one fell swoop, causing all the other uruks wanting my blood to run. So really, take advantage of their weaknesses. Whether they can be stealth killed, combat executed, or are weak to explosions, use those against the warchiefs. My biggest suggestion is don't get swarmed by 60 uruks and the warchief and think you're going to win. More than likely, you're just not going to. So try to isolate the warchief to as few other uruks as possible, and then use their weaknesses to take them out.

So that's it. It's a fairly simple achievement, can be earned early in the game, and gives you some great boosts from earning Power and new runes. So go kill some warchiefs pink skin!

*UPDATE* 10/30/14: Some commentors have pointed out, and I realized while playing through the game, that there are "easier" ways to go about this achievement. For example, you could simply brand all of the warchiefs once you get to Act II, call them to your side, and then choose to execute them all at once. There's an argument as to whether this is actually easier, but it is very satisfying. HOWEVER, I believe that this solution is still viable in that it is the EARLIEST point in the game at which you can unlock this achievement. So, this solution explains how to unlock the achievement as early as possible in the game, but there are some other cool ways you can complete it later in the game as well. For example:

This seems like a very good guide, just wondering is this missable? What happens if u die before taking them out?

Instead of starting the mission after killing 3/4 warchiefs after ratbag takes over as a war chief, go kill the 4th remaining. Once you do this go start the mission and this achievement will pop after the fight. I died once with 2 dead and no one took their place(granted it was to a war chief). It is really easy to kill them if their body guards are dead and you have the cn_LS+cn_RS sword ability unlocked and powered up, most war chiefs, even if marked for death, are vulnerable to combat finishers.

Note : I got ratbag promoted to warchief, then i killed the other 4.
I thought i had messed up and was hoping to do it in the next area. When you do the black guard question and the black guard
, the achievement popped for me.

To my knowledge, this achievement is not "missable" in the sense that you would have to start a whole new save game to earn the achievement. However, it may be missable in that if an uruk takes the place of an already killed warchief prior to you eliminating all 5, then you also have to go and kill that warchief.

The achievement description does not mention needing to do this during the Ratbag story line, I just found it to be the earliest and easiest way to do so for me. It is my interpretation that at any point in the game if there are no living warchiefs in your area, then the achievement should pop.

Ok excellent, that's kind of what I thought but wanted confirmation from someone a bit further in than me, at the moment I'm struggling with the captains so was a bit worried, thanks for your reply.

The Lord and Master achievement and also Divide and Conquer achievement goes well with this achievement. I posted a video guide to get all 3 of these achievements under the Lord and Master achievement if you want to check it out, if not ill explain how I did it.

You want to start by branding all of the body guards of each Warchief. If a Warchief does not have a body guard its ok. After branding each one of the body guards, go fight each of the Warchiefs, if they DO have body guard, kill them. One of the branded body guards will become the new Warchief. If the Warchief does not have a body guard you need to make sure you brand him by weakening him then doing a combat brand.

Next if you need/want the "Divide and Conquer" achievement then simply go to the missions on the map which say " 'Insert Warchief name here' awaits your command". Find two Chiefs with at least 2 body guards then take out his two body guards ,which should be branded, simply by dominating them, then getting intel, then killing them. Or you can simply shank them to death. Then take out the Chief. Do this twice and you should get the Divide and Conquer achievement.

Finally keep killing the Chiefs in this manner and you should get the "Power Vacuum" achievement.

The easiest way to this i found was on the 17/18 mission or whatever you have to brand all 5 of the warchiefs, so when you finish the game and all 5 of the warchiefs are under your command just meet them and kill each of them until you've killed all 5. However, do NOT die or advance time inbetween killing them all other wise you have a high chance that a captain becoming a warchief.

If you have already completed the game and lost the wachiefs or something, just brand some captains, command them do an initiation to a warchief and then force them as a bodygaurd to betray their warchief.
Or you can brand the ALL the bodygaurds of the warchief and command them to betray the warchief which will result in one of your branded captains becoming warchief making it easy to kill the warchief.
Rinse and repeat until the warchiefs are dead.

I found it easy to do early on in the game as well. Once you get access to a mission to get Ratbag promoted to Warchief, you also get tasked with taking out the other 4 warchiefs. I took out the other 4 first, and left the Ratbag mission until last. Upon taking out the 5th Warchief (Mogg the Other Twin, in this case), I got the trophy, and of course then got the other story trophy straight after for getting Ratbag promoted to Warchief.

The way I did it was simple, but took a lot of time. Basically, I branded every Captain and Warchief I could find in the second map. Then it was just a matter of doing the Beck And Call missions for every warchief and pressing cn_down to Dispatch the Warchief and his bodyguards. If another Captain takes the place of the dead Warchief, no problem. Just simply go back and kill him first before working on the rest of the Warchiefs. That's what happened to me. I killed that Captain who took the place of a Warchief first before killing the rest of the Warchiefs. Luckily, it didn't glitch for me and I still got the trophy!

Though this achievement may seem like it will be difficult task, it's actually quite easy and can be obtained early on during the main storyline.

After helping Ratbag take out the first Warchief during the mission entitled "The Warchief," you will then be tasked with killing at least three other Uruk Warchiefs to advance the storyline. Proceed to discover the identities of all the remaining Warchiefs - four in total - and complete all of the new Power Struggle missions in order for them to come out and face you. Once you are in combat with a Warchief, slay him! Continue to repeating this method until all four Warchiefs are dead. Since Ratbag technically took the spot of the first Warchief, you will need to progress through the main storyline a bit more before his spot becomes vacant (this happens during the "The Black Captain" mission), thus unlocking the achievement.

If you want to make this achievement a little easier for yourself, you can simply wait until you unlock the Brand ability and then Brand a Warchief whilst in combat. When all five Warchiefs are under your control, you can then choose to meet up with each one and kill them since branded allies will not attack you.

Overall, when utilizing the first method, make sure you do not die in combat or at any point in your playthrough! Dying will advance time and thus allow a Uruk Captain to take a Warchief's position. Also make sure to refrain from using a Forge Tower's "Advance Time" feature for the same reasoning. Once you have successfully killed all five Warchiefs without any Uruk replacing them, this achievement will be yours.

Upon completing the main story mission “Climbing the Ranks”, you will be able to identify and engage the five Warchiefs. They are the strongest Uruks in the game and take extra effort to fight, unlike Captains that simply must be found.

First thing you should do is identify all five Warchiefs by interrogating Worms and Captains. If you don’t identify them all before killing a Warchief, you run the chance of one being replaced since it will take additional time to identify the rest of them. Once you have them all identified you can start picking them off. When the fifth and final Warchief dies, the trophy will unlock.

If you have yet to complete this trophy before you finish the main campaign, check and see how many of your remaining branded Warchiefs are still alive. If all 5 are still alive after completing the final mission you can simply travel to each "Beck and Call" location on the map, summon the Warchief, then instantly kill them with . Repeat this five times to unlock the trophy. (Credit to Ruff4548 for this post game tip).

at the end of the game you will need to brand 5 leaders, after which the task to the tower will open, pump up the “retribution” technique (kills all branded Uruks and monsters). After the trip on the ship, the mess will begin, let's live Then you can go out and replay.

The first hint didn't work for me. When 5 leaders were executed simultaneously, the trophy did not drop. I had to load back and alternately track down 5 branded leaders and their bodyguards on the map and kill them, also with one button (aiming with a bow + )

according to the plot, having killed 4 leaders and making the rat, only he remains the leader, and later in the plot he is killed by a dark elf and the achievement falls

It is best to do this when the Ratman gives you tasks to kill the Leaders, after killing the first Rats will take his place and you will have to kill 3 in the story. After killing these three, complete the missions according to the plot at once and after 2-3 missions the Ratman will be killed (Sorry, spoiler), after which you will only have to kill the last Leader

I'll add. It's better to kill 4 after Ratsary becomes leader. Then according to the plot you will receive it before the battle with the Hammer.
