How to unlock the The Flames Make It Go Faster achievement in Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor - Definitive Guide

To get this achievement you will have to play all the secondary missions (White Icons) on 5th, you will start mounted on Caragath. Your objective will be to mounted kill enemies to charge a power bar, once it's done (takes 3 orcs) you will be able to use Blazing Steed for other mission objective. Press cn_LS and cn_RS together and your Caragath will get on fire and start running fast to unlock the achievement

I tried multiple times to activate the skill but did not unlock this achievement. Any advice?

This is completed in the side mission " Beast Master"
It isn't available until you complete the side missions "Heaving Rampage","From Hunter to Hunted","Belching Monstrosity", and "A Feast of Flesh"

Just follow the instruction of the mission and the achievement will pop.

I have tried this a lot of times and nothing, during the mission, after the mission and still nothing.

This an ability that you can use while riding a Caragath, but to unlock the ability you must complete all of the following missions:
  • From Hunter to Hunted
  • Heaving Rampage
  • A Feast of Flesh
  • Belching Monstrosity
  • Beast Master
Once you have the ability, while mounted on a Caragath press and your Caragath will blaze with fire when you start running with swiftness.
  • From Hunter to Hunted

    Take out 3 camps. All targets have yellow dots over their heads.
     
  • Heaving Rampage (Cab-Gwanath Bluff - Prerequisite: Unwarranted Aggression)

    You have to defeat 70 Uruks while mounted on a Wretched Graug.
     
  • Belching Monstrosity (Tirith Mesas - Prerequisite: Unwarranted Aggression)

    Kill 20 Archers with Projectile Vomit.
     
  • A Feast of Flesh (Thang Talath - Prerequisite: Hypocritical Oath)

    You must dominate 45 Ghûls, then kill a Wretched Graug.
     
  • Beast Master (Fort Morn - Prerequisite: All of the above)

    To achieve the trophy, you do not need to even complete this mission. As the mission starts, your first goal will be to activate the Blazing Speed Power. To do this, while mounted on a Caragath you must perform Stealth Kills (+) or a Bite Attack () or use Caragath Swiftness ( after landing). Do this enough times and you can press + to activate the power. The trophy will immediately pop as soon as your Caragath starts glowing with Wraith flames.

In order to obtain this new ability, you will first need to complete four distinct side missions within the region of Nurn. These side missions are represented by white sword icons on the world map. Below, you can find the name of each mission with it’s corresponding location. It’s worth nothing however that some missions may not be readily available until you progress through the main story.

  • Heaving Rampage is located in Cab-Gwanath Bluff
  • From Hunter to Hunted is located in Cape of Nurn
  • Belching Monstrosity is located in Tirith Mesas
  • A Feast of Flesh is located in Thang Talath

After completing these four side missions, a new mission entitled "Beast Master" will appear in Fort Morn. Head on over to the starting point of this mission, where you will then be shown a tutorial on how to fill your Blazing Steed meter and then execute the move while mounted upon a Caragath. This ability essentially allows Talion to ignite into flames while mounted on a Caragath.

You can charge this ability by killing enemies with Caragath Stealth kills, Caragath Bite Attacks or even through Caragath Swiftness. Once charged, simply press both thumbsticks in to ignite into flames with Wraith Fire. While active, any enemies that come near your mount will burst into flames. With all this said, close the tutorial page and proceed to fill up your Blazing Steed meter. Once it is filled, activate the ability and the achievement will unlock right away.

You will get the opportunity to ride a flaming karagat in the last mission of the hunter's tests (white icon)
