How to unlock the Bombardier achievement in Middle-earth: Shadow of War - Definitive Guide

For starters, you will need to complete the Torvin quests that unlock the Wormrot Oils (for poison) and the Numenorean Fire (for fire). Once these have been unlocked, simply jump off of a raised area such as a tower, and then press A and push forward to glide. Outposts or the fortress at Shindram make for good locations as they are full of orcs, so you will have more targets.

Just to confirm, you do not need to get a kill with ALL the ammo types in one glide. You can get one kill with each type over multiple glides.

This isn't my video and full credit goes to the maker of this video, but it serves as a good visual guide as to what the achievement requires

Yes they do, once you've got them they will persist through other playthroughs.

It seems like the Timed Explosives augment for your crossbow prevents you getting this achievement - I had multiple aerial kills with every ammo type in my first playthrough, but it wouldn't unlock for me.

I started a new run and went to the first outpost I saw, got a kill with the steel bolt and it unlocked immediately though, so if you find yourself in the same situation at least it's easy to finish off dance

id like to add that if you use a vent to hover, it doesnt count. However, you can glide back and forth between two vents getting a kill on each pass (and letting focus recharge) and it will count. thats how i got it.

You need the Inline Toxic Death Dispenser and the Integrated Inferno-Hurling Launcher.

for those with trouble unlocking this, you might be too far up in the sky. i had to go to lower areas, just like in the video and eventually unlocked it by spamming each ammo

This achievement is a disgrace. I've literally killed about 10 enemies with each ammo type and NOTHING.

Took about 5-7 kills with each ammo type for the achievement to register

I ran around the fort just shooting everyone and everything with all types of ammo ensuring I got one kill each for about 15 minutes. I couldn’t get this achievement to unlock. I went into the fort and found a tower that’s surrounded by about 3 guards and I killed them all one by one with different ammo and then a few more orcs came and I killed them the same way. I got this achievement first try that way. My best guess is that splash damage, darts that interact with surroundings, and multiple kills with one bolt or bomb, all don’t count for whatever reason.

Also it’s important to note that ammo can be found on dead bodies with a search marker above them, I had a hard time finding ammo at first but knowing that helped me.

You need to get kills from 6 different ammo types, 1 from the dart version, and another from the bomb version.....

1) Steel bolt
2) Concussion Bomb
3) Fire Bolt
4) Fire Bomb
5) Poison Bolt
6) Poison Bomb

LuckyConquerer2 has a great guide for their locations, be aware that you only need to find number 2 and number 8 from his guide for this achievement

To unlock this achievement you need to kill an enemy with each ammo type while gliding. You will learn at the beginning of the game how to glide on your parachute by jumping off something tall and pressing to open it, from here you can aim your crossbow with :lt: and shoot enemies. Find a building or tall rock formation with nearby enemies, climb to the top and jump off opening your parachute, then aim for the enemies head and try to kill them. There are six different types of ammo and four of them are found by collecting the Numenorean artifacts detailed in the description above for "Gauntlet".

This doesn't need to be done in a single glide, you can just get one kill per glide if you wish and jump off structures six times, once for each ammo type. Once you have killed an enemy with each ammo type the achievement will unlock.

Note that there is an augment for the crossbow called 'Time Explosives' that removes the damage from the steel bolts and has a delayed explosion on them instead. For some reason applying this augmentation prevents the game from registering that you got a kill with the steel bolts so either get your kill with steel bolts before upgrading it, or else don't use it at all. If you have unknowingly used it like I did, you can just get a steel bolt kill on a new playthrough as you don't need to do the rest of them a second time.

For this trophy you need to get a kill with all 6 different ammo types, 3 bolts and 3 bombs. First you need to complete missions the Torvin quests to unlock poison and fire elements for your bolts and bombs. Find an outpost or go to the fortress, jump from a high location and glide, fire upon Uruks below using the various ammo types and make sure to get a kill with each, try it a few times to make sure it registers and the trophy will unlock once you have done so.

Ammo Types:
  • Steel Bolts
  • Poison Bolts
  • Fire Bolts
  • Concussion Bombs
  • Fire Bombs
  • Poison Bombs

While paragliding you need to kill with all 6 types of ammunition. 3 types of bombs and 3 types of arrows. It's easier for everyone with accumulated concentration (slowing down time while aiming).
Here is also a Video Guide (en) for clarity.
