How to unlock the No Orc Lives Forever achievement in Middle-earth: Shadow of War - Definitive Guide

To do this you must first beat Act 3 of the story. The reason being that the Fight Pits in Minas Morgul are locked until this point.

There are 15 Fight Pits missions in total. Each map has 3 of them (Maggot, Warrior, Champion difficulty). They are marked by a icon on the map and the next level is unlocked by beating the last. The fights won't disapear from the map, but you can check which ones you have already completed in the Quest log.

The missions are simulated fights between one of your Orcs and an enemy Orc. You don’t have to fight yourself. One of your Orcs must win in each fight pit.

Since it is simulated, there is not much you can do but here are some tips for winning (for reference I completed this achievement at Level 45, with a Level 45 Captain beating a Level 56 opponent).

TIPS:
‌• If your captain is about to lose you can pause and quit the game before he dies. You will be able to replay the mission without losing a follower and you may even get an easier opponent.
‌• Berserkers and Shields usually perform well.
‌• Followers with an element on their weapon are very effective (fire or poison).
‌• Followers with a gang are helpful for dealing extra damage and sometimes distracting an opponent.
‌• You can use training orders to apply these traits to a follower, or just find a Captain who already has these things.
‌• Your followers can't be a higher level than you, to level them up quickly send them to kill another Captain and then play the Nemesis Mission that is created. They also level up from winning in Fight Pits.

Yes, except the you will need a new Captain to fight and replay the same arena since that one will die and can no longer be selected.

I found that it was really helpful to use the captains you get from the Galadriel DLC for pit fights. They tend to have a lot of immunities compared to the average captain. Obviously you would want to choose very very carefully and not deploy them all to one area, and always check who you're fighting. For example: my champion match was against a uruk who was afraid of spiders. So I deployed the guy who summons spiders from the DLC pack. Not sure any of my other captains anywhere can summon spiders, but here was an immediate legendary with spiders and tons of immunities. Of course, this is all random, but it's something to consider for anyone having troubles here.

It may be worth noting that you must have at least 1 follower in Minas Morgul or else the fight pit missions won't show up.
I was going crazy trying to figure out why they weren't there until I realized I had no followers in that zone. As soon as I got one, the missions showed up.

You can't unlock this til Act IV.
There are three pitt fighting missions in all five cities of the game.
To unlock them, you first need to conquer the city. Once you've installed your own Overlord, you can start sending captains to the pitt.
For this they actually spawn as missions, so head to the fighting pitts to take part.
They come in three stages
Maggots - rewards you with a skill point on your first victory in every city.
Warriors - rewards you with currency to upgrade your fortress (one time only in each city)
Champions - opens up the final warchief slot for the garrison.

The reason you can't unlock this til Act IV is because yoy need to Conquer Minas Morgul to unlock the missions.

Now, you don't want to send your lowest levels, as they'll just fet slaughtered. What you want is a character with a weapon bonus (Cursed, Poisoned etc) and a gang. The gang will help with damage as well as keeping a distraction for most captains you'll come across.
Don't send your highest levels either, as these can still get slaughtered by captains that are 10levels lower than them. If that happens, just run in and dominate the victorius captain.

To unlock this achievement you need to win every Fight Pit mission. You first need to conquer the fortress of a region to then unlock the first of three Fight Pit missions. Once you have the fortress of a region go to the Fight Pit mission on your map and you can then pit your fighters against other Orcs. You need to win the Fight Pit mission to then unlock the next one, then again for the third. Look at your opponent by pressing before accepting the fight and try to send your Orcs that can do the most damage, so if the enemy Orc has a weakness to poison, then try to choose one of your Orcs that has a poison weapon. This will give you the best chance of winning rather than trying to gauge it by their levels. I've had my Orcs be ten or more levels below their opponent and still win by capitalizing on their weaknesses.

There are three Fight Pit missions per region; Maggot, Warrior and Champion. The online Fight Pit missions are not required. Complete all three by having one of your Orcs win the fight in all five regions and the achievement will unlock.

Fight Pit missions are unlocked in each region once you have conquered the respective fortresses, therefore you cannot complete them all until you have completed Act 3.
There are a total of 15 Fight Pit missions, 3 in each region whereby you pit your recruited Orcs in a simulated battle with an enemy orc, you do not actually fight yourself. The missions have increasing difficulty categorised as Maggot, Warrior and Champion which each give a one time reward to the player. You can track these in the quest menu under Nemesis Missions to see which ones you have completed as they are repeatable.
The best Orcs to use for these missions, preferably at a high level are Defenders, Berserkers and Destroyers as the AI generally perform poorly against these types of orcs. Using Training Orders to give your orc a gang or an elemental weapon also greatly increases the chance of winning. If you are about to lose a fight you can quickly close the application before the game registers the result.

The battles take place in 3 stages, and personally, the last battle was stressful for me. If you see that there are few lives and the battle is almost lost, because orcs are often stupid, go to the main menu and save the orc, and next time you may come across an orc that will be weaker.

Orcs of the Slayer class are best suited for pit duels.

you need to win all the battles (with any orc, not necessarily the same one in the location) in the arenas in each of the locations, in each of your locations there are 3 battles, student, warrior, winners!

Net pits are not needed for the trophy. Access to the last pits will open when you capture the last fortress

Orcs with two axes with poison and the doubles skill perform very well in pits.

As an option, an algorithm for fans of the Shadow of war combat (and it’s good):

0. Place the required task on the pit as current and go to the point personally.
1. We take any unnecessary orc supporter as a contender. We can choose or tune, but the money will be useful for protection and is not really needed.
2. We send the applicant into the pit.
3. If our applicant wins, the next hole from the list of tasks, starting from point 0.
4. If our challenger loses, after the battle the winner will be available - look at the properties (they are open), select equipment and fight. We are recruiting a new champion as a challenger.
5. Repeat from step 2.

Not the fastest method, but fun. On one of the pits I even picked up a good orc, but I didn’t see that my opponent was a maniac (in addition to a bunch of resistances). He butchered my challenger, then me - he became a level higher than mine and I dealt with him only “with friends” and then with difficulty - he killed him out of spite. Otherwise there would be an orc for all occasions.

I do this: I allowed one orc to kill me, he rose in level and became level 47 (well, to be on an equal footing with me), and received the highest property. Then I recruited him, in the army menu I gave him fire weapons and a squad of savages. I also upgraded him so that he and his squad would be immune to fire.

Then everything is simple. Sent to the garrison. He came to the desired location, sent him from the garrison to his army in this region. Then he came to the arena and used him as a warrior in all 3 battles. After that, I sent him back to the garrison through the army menu. He went to another region, took him away from the garrison and again sent him into battle in another location. And so it is in all regions. It may be risky to do this, but at least for me he won everywhere.

Tactics with pits turned out to be an excellent option. You take the frailest orc and send it to the championship pit to certain death. The winner is usually much better than average. As an option, after recruitment you don’t send the new orc into the pit, but replace the leaders or even the ruler. The orcs from the pit are clearly stronger and have fewer vulnerabilities.

Yes, there is a small chance that you yourself will not be able to cope with the victorious orc or you will overdo it and kill him instead of hiring him.

The pits in Minas Morgul will open as soon as you capture the first captain. There is nothing complicated about the pits themselves. If the level is not enough, then level up the captain on worms in the same pits.
