How to unlock the Wild Things achievement in Middle-earth: Shadow of War - Definitive Guide

Best way to do it when you're lvl 30 is to play or replay the Fire and Fury quest from Eltariel.

You have to kill three drakes at the start, so simply bring one down, summon your graug and have some fun!

I found it much easier than trying to get one in open play.

Fantastic suggestion, I would advise anyone going for this achievement with the replay method to do it before you enter Act III/Act IV as it seems to relock a few of the skills you have purchased once you return from playing the mission.

You don't even have to bring it out of the sky, you can just be riding it while shooting it with arrows

I was just roaming around Gorgoroth when I saw a Drake, lowered it's HP, shadow mounted it. Then I flew around through some outposts, looking for a Graug bait. Broke it, waited for the Graug to be mountable, went on it and killed the Drake with arrows = achievement.

Eh, just make sure you damage it. Orc archers often help.

Perfect solution, the only problem I had was that my graug rushed in and curb stomped the downed drake before I could mount it

Fast travel to the Haedir point in the middle of Nurnen or bottom of Seregost. There is approximately a 25% chance of a drake spawning, just keep using the "advance time" option until one spawns.

Next, you'll also need a Graug, so I would recommend the Upgrade: Graug Call for the Call Mount skill under the Mounted skill chain. Equip this.

To set up you'll want to attack the drake to approximately half health using your Elf-Shot, then go to a large open area and spawn you Graug; then mount them, The next step involves getting the drake to attack you with the fireball attack, so get close to them and follow them around the map if necessary. As they are about to attack, they will stop, hover, open their wings and shoot a fireball. As they are doing this attack, you must hit them in the head with an arrow to bring them down to the ground. Once on the ground, use your Graug to attack them and kill them. Repeat until it works to unlock the achievement.

You dont actually have to kill the drake with the graug, you just have to be riding one while you kill a drake so you can also just use your bow :D

This is much easier to do by just shooting the thing dead from the Graug's back. So much so that I think the solution needs to be revised.

An easier method to get Drakes is have a Feral Tribe Overlord and the Fortress will have a couple of Drake Baits in it

I finished this achievement, with a slight variation to those above...
Quick version: dominate a wild Graug, and use Dragon Song to summon a Drake... Being a summoned mount, it won't fight back making taking it down very quick and easy...

Longer version:
- You'll need to have completed all the Carnan quests, to unlock the Dragon Song skill... As a result, this method is probably best for those near completion, and looking to mop up the last few achievements, so wouldn't recommend it on a fresh start...
- Fast travel to the Haedir located in the South West corner of Seregost (over looks the Ice Plans to the left of the map)...
Every time I travelled here, a Graug spawned just north of the Haedir tower, close enough to see on the mini map... Other guides mention a Drake spawning near here, which I didn't have any luck with after 10ish "Advance Times" unfortunately cry, so found this method worked a treat...
- Head to the Graug, weaken then dominate it, then mount up and travel out to the far reaches of the Ice Plans
- Summon your Drake, then go to town on it with your bow (charged headshots will kill the Drake the quickest)

Any suggestions to improve or flesh out this guide, let me know toast

Great solution. I combined it with the achievement for riding all beasts... go find poison graug (or ice, or fire), break him, and ride him as needed for the achievement - then summon the drake and kill him while still riding the graug.

and turn off the skill "your drake will take far less damage" for extra speed.

Easiest Method by far. And dont bother trying to bring it down to the ground like the other guides mention, just shoot it with head shots while mounted on the graug. I had 2x of the Feral Legendary set on that let me mount the graug without breaking it which made this ultra easy. Just head shot the drake a few times, let your focus build back up and head shot a few more times with your best bow.

If you are having trouble finding a graug and drake together I would recommend hitting level 30 and getting the perk that lets you summon a graug. In the video I show a location where a drake spawns. Then all you need to do is shoot the drake out of the sky and melee kill it with the graug.

The easiest way to do this is to go to Seregost, Go south towards the ice lake. You can find a graug if you cannot summon one in and typically a drake as well. Dominate or summon a graug and just fire headshots while riding the graug and achievement unlocked. If the drake doesn't appear, just advance time

You can do this without being level 30 to summon a graug.

In Núrnen, fast travel to the western Haedir point and you will usually find one or two graugs there. Use an arrow on the drake bait and climb the archer tower. Shoot a few arrows to get the drake's attention and then the drake will then attack you with a fireball, landing on the tower. Smash away and the achievement will unlock. I managed to replicate this three times, so it was not just a coincidence.

I failed to find a drake in the wild after a couple of days of searching in their supposed spawn points and "advancing time". I found it way easier to just equip the Upgrade: Graug Call skill and then play Online Conquest until I found a defender with Hellfire.

Hellfire drakes don't fly, they will always stay grounded, so as soon as you break the cage, summon a graug with Upgrade: Graug Call, mount it and start smashing. Killing it should be pretty easy, I didn't have to weaken it first at all.

This way you can also work on the Such Great Heights achievement.

Once you have the ability to summon a Drake, go to Nurnen's entrance and find a graug, master him and mount him and summon Drake, and then kill him with the arrows.

Spawn in the middle of Nurnen. Summon a Drake now or when I say to shoot it. There are two graugs fighting near by, take one once its broken (since fighting one will naturally become broken for you), and while on one, run towards your fort, and in the middle of the open area outside the fort (where only friendlies are who won't shoot the drake), shoot down your own Drake with a few simple arrows (it goes down insanely easier when its your own).

Seregost is the perfect place to do this. Drakes and Graugs always spawn to the south, between the Haedir and the Barrows on the ice plains. If there isn't a drake bearby, try takibg your Graug North-east. There's normally a Drake attacking the outpost up there.

1. Unlock the Dragon Song ability by playing the Carnan questline
2. Find a wild Graug (there are loads in Gorgoroth)
3. Dominate the Graug
4. (optional) Climb to the top of a Haedir while riding the Graug to minimise environmental damage to your Graug
5. Summon the drake using Dragon Song
6. Repeatedly shoot the drake until it dies (you don't need to attack it directly with the Graug)

Equip the skill Call Mount with the Graug Call upgrade.

1. Find a wild drake anywhere.
2. Attack the drake until he is broken.
3. Call your graug then mount it.
4. Build your graug's might while the drake flies around.
5. Shoot the drake right as it's attacking to stun and ground it.
6. Use your graug's finisher to immediately kill the grounded drake.

I got this trophy on Fire and Fury quest in Eltariel storyline. At the beginning of the quest, you need to kill 3 drakes. I summoned a graug using the Graug Call skill and shot drake on the head while riding the graug.

(re)Play the Fire and Fury quest from Eltariel, with the 'Call a Graug' skill, You need to kill a couple of drakes in that quest. Simply headshot the drake a couple of times, call you Graug, mount it, headshot the drake a few more times untill it is dead. You don't need to make the Graug kill the Drake, you can shoot it yourself as well.

There is a perfect opportunity in the main quest 'The Scourge'. Helm Hammerhead will summon Drakes and Ice Graugs in this battle, simply dominate an one of the latter and shoot a Drake with the graugs ice breath attack, once it lands on the ground attack it with your Graug to kill it and unlock the trophy.

If you missed this opportunity there is another easy method that involves using the 'Call Drake' skill which you get after completing the Carnan Quest line. Find a regular Graug and dominate it, then summon a Drake and dismount it, and attack the drake by any means you desire, since it's dominated it won't fly away and will always stay close to you, try not to do this with too many enemies around as there is the risk an orc may land the final blow.

There is another location you can also attempt this trophy which is the middle Haedir Tower in Nurnen, make sure you have the Call Mount upgrade 'Graug Call' equipped first.

Keep advancing time at this location until a Drake spawns, then summon a Graug for you to mount. Chase down the Drake and shoot it in the head when it hovers and breaths fire and only at that point otherwise the Drake may flee if you damage it too much whilst it's in the air, this will knock it down to the ground. Rush up to it and repeatedly attack with your graug until the drake dies. It's best to try and attempt this in a wide open area so you have move room to maneuver.

See video below from PowerPyx showing this method.

To unlock this achievement you need to kill a Drake while riding a Graug. This is quite awkward to do but not impossible. You will want to have one of these 2 beasts as a summon then go into the world to find the other.

If you summon the Drake you can attack it to lower it's health and it won't fight back otherwise you can attack a Drake until it's nearly dead then summon a Graug and mount it to finish it off. I did the latter. once I found a Drake I used my hammer/ranged weapon to headshot it to bring it to really low health and then quickly summoned a Graug and mounted it. I then used the Graugs breath attack to keep hurting the Drake until it landed near me then mashed on it with the Graug until it died.

There are a few missions for Eltariel where Drakes are present so if you see them quickly apply the Graug Call upgrade to your Call Mount Skill and be ready to summon one to attempt this. You can also replay these missions from the 'Quest' menu if you happen to miss your attempt at doing it.

If you see a dragon, call it with the Graug skill. And while sitting on it, shoot the dragon with a bow.

According to the plot there will be a quest Flame and Fury. The main thing before the quest is to acquire the skill to summon a graug. In the quest you will need to kill the Nazgul dragons, just call the Graug and shoot at the dragon, since this quest will have arrows at every step.

I did it differently. I upgraded the dragon summon because... It’s easier to meet Graug in the world; we saddle him, summon a dragon and shoot him with a bow. The trophy fell out.

Made it even easier. I started the siege of the fortress and in the army improvements we take “wild dragon help”, we take the skill of summoning the graug and when the dragon flies in, we shoot it while sitting on the graug. Ring.

I didn’t farm specifically. I once got caught up in an online vendetta where I had to free two dragons. He called the graug, freed him and kicked him there. Keep in mind.

Nurnen, the westernmost point of movement, a little to the north there is often a drake. It flies in circles and can attack right after moving. We jump down and clear some space from the orcs. There is no need to clean it up completely, and it won’t work - they have a base there. Summon the graug, you can easily climb on it from behind ( ). You may need two quivers - it is better to enable the correct upgrade with replenishment of arrows during domination and go down and refuel as needed.

It’s very easy to get this trophy in the Eltariel quest, where you need to defeat the Nazgul in the “Sergoroth” location - Hammerhand seems to be his name. However, please note that you must have the skill to call "graug".
