I Like To Watch Achievement/Trophy Guide

This achievement follows similar steps to my previous guide for the following achievement:
Middle-earth: Shadow of WarIt Came From WithinThe It Came From Within achievement in Middle-earth: Shadow of War worth 29 pointsStart a Conquest with all Warchiefs as spies.


In ACT 2 you will be given the ability to start dominating the minds of captains and turning them to your side. When you have this ability, head up to the fortress and kill one of the two warchiefs then command one of your captains to Infiltrate the now dead captains position. This will give you a mission called Infiltration which will require you to simply sit there and watch as your captain fights against another captain and there is no possibility for you to get involved. I would recommend having a higher level captain go in as sometimes the enemy captain can roll up with bonus minions.

In Act 2, after conquering the Fortress of Nurnen and then subsequently unlocking the pit fights, all you have to do is win a pit fight with any member of your army (the Maggots level is the easiest to win).

Once I reached the end of Act 1 and got the ability to Dominate and Recruit enemies, I did the Bruz mission. After recruiting him, my next recruit I was forced to set as a body guard when Bruz arrived and explained how to do it. Then my next recruit I was forced to send to fight another captain as Bruz again explained how.

In doing this, I was set a waypoint to go and join my recruit in the fight. I went straight there and started the fight. I joined in by taking out the surrounding enemies, but I ignored the captain. My recruit had fire arrows, so his first hit blew something up doing half damage, then the captain continued to burn until they died. This unlocked the trophy for me.

You can perform this action any time after you have been taught how to do it. So if you don't get it first time, don't worry, you can try any time you want as long as you have a captain recruited. Simply press Options and select Army, then highlight a recruit and press triangle to Command them and then issue a kill order on another captain.

It works best if either your recruit is higher level, or if they have something that the target is afraid of, like fire damage. You will have to have revealed the targets weaknesses to know if it is a good match though.

To unlock this achievement you need to watch one of your followers kill another Captain without intervening. The easiest way to get this is during the Pit Fight missions that become available after taking over a fortress. You need to complete all of the Pit Fight missions to unlock "No Orc Lives Forever" so this achievement will unlock after your first successful Pit Fight mission if you hadn't unlocked it beforehand.

This trophy is nigh unmissable. During conquests your followers will actively combat enemy captains and it's extremely likely they will kill one over the course of the game.
If you want to get it out of the way simply go in to the army screen and command one of your captains to kill an enemy captain.
