Midnight Fight Express

The worst thing about this challenge isn’t even the requirement itself, it’s not having an option to reload checkpoint. Lunatic is kind of right about the guide being a little vague. Copying and pasting the solution from the guide doesn’t prove your point or make you seem smart. I’m sure Lunatic can read pretty well and understands what the solution is stating. The main issue with the solution provided is that it doesn’t offer a lot of information regarding which weapons work best, what time you should be at by the mid way checkpoint etc. You can get away with the vague solutions for most of the challenges in this game, but this is definitely one of the more difficult ones where a little more info would go along way.

SOLUTION:
Before entering the church you will fight 3 enemies (2 with SMG’s and 1 with an RPG), you are going to want to save the RPG to enter the church with. After the cutscene you get for entering the church, you are going to want to shoot your RPG down the left side as best as you can in order to try and take out a group of around 2-3 enemies. Next try to grab any gun that may be lying around on the floor to use and continue heading towards the left side of the screen. You will have a priest with another RPG; try to focus on killing this enemy as fast as possible and take his weapon and use on any cluster of enemies as quickly as possible. Your aim here is to try and get the first checkpoint in 20 seconds or less (press [start] to see the seconds in the top right corner of the screen).

The next part here really is just grab a gun shoot, grab a gun shoot. It is worth noting that the small hand sized crosses that some of the enemies drop are pretty useful at times to throw at an enemy for an instant kill which can actually help relieve the pressure here. Keep pushing to the right side of the screen whilst killing and grabbing anything you can to kill enemies. I personally found that if you aim to get inside the entrance room on the far right side, the enemies kinda bunched up at times and almost funnelled their way towards you. It may be a good idea here to check your time before killing the last enemy. If you have gone over the time here, allow any remaining enemies to kill you to retry again.

One more tip to include here is to make sure you are using your [LB] attack when it is charged. I would advise just using the standard bullet as we obviously need kills here, not to set up attacks or stun enemies.
The more you attempt this, the more familiar you will get with the checkpoints. Because there is no option to simply reload a checkpoint, you are going to have to rely on enemies to kill you to make use of the checkpoints here.

Just to add to this, here were my times:
Midway checkpoint - 18/50 seconds
Final checkpoint - 47/50 seconds

Guide is very vague as hell. Most useless was the "Clear church in 50 seconds" challenge since it doesn't explain jack shit. Even with rage finishers, I kept going over the time limit.
