It’s worth noting that you DO NOT have to get S ranks without using perks. You can use perks like infinite ammo or unlimited use of melee weapons and still get an s rank.

I’ve found that the most important aspect to the score is getting the highest combo possible before the end. Most times you can reach the end after the combo breaks, as long as you’ve got a combo above 65 without dying it should be a pretty safe S rank. The other stats like time, no death, and diversity don’t matter as much as the combo streak.

My suggestion if you want to make your life easier is to go for either the challenges first or the S ranks because trying to to do both in the same run is a lot more effort than if you just do them one at a time.
