How to unlock the Great Coaching achievement in Midway Arcade Origins - Definitive Guide

The easiest and fastest way to earn this achievement is to start up Tournament Cyberball 2072 and make sure that you choose score attack because i could not obtain this in free play. after choosing score attack pick Advanced Cyberball and choose "GAME BREAKER" Situation Cyber and for your team choose Moscow Machines ( They are located on the right side in the middle) because their strength is Passing Game. When it shows you the plays choose the second option under offense called WHAM-BAM and if you fail on this play you get a second chance to choose am option of 4 plays and choose whatever pass can be caught in the endzone. When you score a touchdown you will have 6 points and for your next play choose Twin Engine which is another passing play under offense and if you fail choose another play that can be caught in the endzone after making 2 touchdowns the achievement should pop.

Good Luck Hope this helps

It doesn't even matter if you have a game over between the two touchdowns!

What a strange game. Thanks for the heads up though about the two touchdowns with a game over in between.

I know this is old, but I wished I had this years ago when I played it. The fact that you can choose to do offensive plays only and not actually play the game was a huge help on getting both touchdowns.

Now to get lucky at Sinistar. Last time I tried it years ago I managed to destroy Sinistar... before he was ready... So that didn't count.

But this one was pretty easy. After learning what to do. Last achievement I got in the game was in 2013, so this was a long time coming.

Effectively, you'll need to score two touchdowns without the CPU scoring between them. Curiously, though, the game doesn't check to see if those two touchdowns were scored in the SAME MATCH!

You can earn this Achievement in Cyberball Rookie League or Regulation Cyberball (or split between both...); the former is much easier. If you're good enough at defense, keeping your opponent from scoring during one of their possessions should be sufficient, but failing that, getting the LAST touchdown of the game and the FIRST touchdown of the next game (just press the Pass button to start another match rather than exiting) will earn the Achievement as well. Cyberball Rookie League ALWAYS starts you on offense, making doing this in two games much more reliable if you can't seem to do it in one.

[A side note: for those who care about leaderboards, only Regulation Cyberball counts, and is scored by margin of victory/loss. As of the submission of this solution, only FIVE scores have been entered on the leaderboard...]

I can verify this. I got the achievement at 6 - 0 of the second game. So, if you score last in the previous game it shouldn't be too hard since you seem to always receive the kickoff at the beginning of the game.

alright, I'm an old school Cyberball player so I have some tips that might help people understand how to play cyberball.

i made a gameplay video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UouHzCWQdCA

i made a tutorial video about special teams and offense: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7WvMydRZczM

i also made a tutorial vid about conversion points and defense but I haven't uploaded it yet.

This trophy gave me more trouble than I think it should have. Tournament Cyberball 2072 is a footballish game played with robots and a bomb. Unlike American football, there aren't first downs. You have to get the ball past a certain yardage line before it blows to "de-fuse" it. When the ball is "Critical" you have to get past the yardage given or it blows up and the opposing team gets the ball…err, bomb.

You get the ball first. Easiest way, I found, is just to go for passing plays. Remember, you only have to score 12 points in a row, so the conversion points don't matter. When passing, wait for a robot to be on one of the squares for catching and move your joystick over to the highlighted place you want to throw to. If you get close enough to the goal line, QB sneaks and running plays may be easier.

On defense, Safety Blitzes and other Blitzes work best to stop them. Choose your controllable player and be aggressive. If you succeed in stopping them you will get the bomb back. Now, rinse and repeat what you just did on offense, and you should get this out of the way after a few attempts.

To clarify you don't have to do this in the same game but you DO have to make 2 consecutive touchdowns.
