How to unlock the Reality Show-Off achievement in Midway Arcade Origins - Definitive Guide
Keep practice collect gifts, money and power ups as much as you can to help you to process first level. Follow the path to the bottom of the map to the boss. Easy way to kill the Muntiod Man Stay on top left and shoot him with power up gun and you will have no problem with it. Personally, doing bottom of the maps is more easier then upper part of the map.
Rapidly A Continue trick credit goes to KTILLA23. He discovered it by an accident and told me about it over XBL. I have his permission to use the trick he discovered. Thank you, KTILLA23.

Ok, so I can glitch to work. SOMETIMES. sometmes however, it just gives me a game over. my strategy has been to , on my last life, just to pound the a button till i die. like i said, its not 100%. is there a specific time the a button must be pressed exactly?
Also, in testing. when it does work, i will go ahead and just waste all my lives to see if it will also work a second time. never has, so is this glitch just once per game? or have u been able to do it multiple times.
any info would be great. Thanks!

When choosing your path through the first level, I have always found it easier to go up at the first junction. It is shorter (or at least the rooms go faster) and the cash room will boost your score as well, which is the point of Score Attack anyway. ;) You will avoid the longer Shrapnel rooms, and the upper route has the lowest occurrence of the swarming spheres that I noticed.
Extra lives and nukes spawn randomly, and it's possible to get up to 8 lives after the first 3 rooms. Another tip is that you can slip through crowds of melee enemies as long as you have enough speed to avoid their swings.
If you're struggling going either upwards or downwards, do the opposite. Upwards is more difficult, but because of the shields I breezed past the levels. Went into the boss fight with 3 lives, the most I had going into the boss fight.
In the boss fight. After you destroy the turrets, just stay in the top-left corner and ONLY get powerups you're able to get safely. The fight took me about 10 minutes because I wasn't getting lucky with powerups spawning on the left side of the room. Whenever I got the shield, I was always being aggressive trying to find a weapon on the other side of room, then I would bring it back to the top-left and rinse and repeat.

- You'll most likely get a couple of red balls at first, destroy these and then the boss will be there.
- When the boss spawns, kill the 2 little guys in front of his "feet" for them to stop shooting these red balls at you .
- When you're done with those 2 little fellas, focus on grabbing a powerup, and then stay in the upperleft corner like in the video.
- If you do it right, at some point the boss will loose its arms, and after that the head. At this point the boss can't fire at you anymore and blue fat guys will appear. If you can finish 'em off but the boss is a bigger priority here!
- At this point, he will be immune to regular bullets, so pickup the powerups again to kill off his armor, turning him into an egg sitting in a tank.
- Pickup rocket launcher/grenade launchers?? and keep hitting him, you can even hit him from any side now.
When you pass this stage, he will explode. Just walk into the exit and the achievement is yours.
I hope this helps!
Now for the boss fight you need to remember one thing: their is no time limit so don’t try to rush through it or you will lose. Try to stay at the top left & wait for a power-up to spawn, if it spawns to close to the boss or looks like you may die getting it then just ignore it & wait for the next one. Your standard gun doesn’t affect the boss but will destroy the projectiles he sends your way. Also beware of the sharpness guys that spawn in.
Good luck, you’ll need it for this achievement.
This will be the pain of the game. The first try it took me 7-8 attempts but in order to practice the method it took another 30+ until I beat it again. It has to be done in score attack without continues available
The pick-ups I had spawn meant everything, I wasn't the greatest at this game and needed at least 2 extra lives and some good luck with the barrier blades and spread shots. Invincibility can prove extremely useful as well if they drop for you. The usage left on a pickup weapon is displayed under the score.
I did this without the continue glitch, it never worked for me. For the most part learning the game will be the deciding factor in you netting this achievement, roughly being able to make it to the fourth room without dying is the first key. Once you have mastered this making it further will be mostly dependent on your drops or if you have a history of being a NG: black S rank master (skill). As you progress through each room stay to center as much as possible, it allows for the most versatility on pickups and the longest amount of time versus enemies, Focus on getting wall snipers down as quick as possible as they only add to the pain of things. Invincibility can be used to destroy large groups of enemies by simply walking through them but monitor your item Usage left as to not waste lives.
If you can make it to the Mutoid man boss room your relatively in the clear, he is a giant tank that will bounce back and forth near the bottom of the screen allowing you to get past on the northern most wall, hug it closely. Clear out the bad guys watch out for the occasionally shrapnel spawn and play smart, he will drop required special weapons to destroy him. I focused on only getting the rocket launcher to maintain great distance as to not risk deaths. Just focus on destroying the sections of tread and his body he will blow up a couple of times and then you will get this.
Well. Here it is. Your punishment for easy trophies in this collection. Smash TV. An excellent twin-stick shooter that also happens to be crazy challenging - especially in Score Attack mode. Definitely the hardest trophy in the game. The premise is simple enough. Think "Running Man" with a MUCH higher body count. You just have to get through 6 increasingly difficult rooms with 100's of bad guys before facing off with the boss of the first level, Mutoid Man.
This will definitely test your skill and patience. Here is what I found helps -
- Take the bottom path when given the choice. The bonus money round up top is way too tough to consistently have a chance.
- Luck is very important. How well you do is based off of what the game gives you for power-ups.
- The best power-ups? Extra lives. The invincibility shield. The spread gun.
- You have an invincibility shield after each death for a few seconds. USE IT!
- You don't have to take out the big exploding shrapnel guys, but be aware of their shrapnel.
- When you get into a room with Wall-Mounted turret guys, try to take them out before baddies start to spawn.
- Take out Tank guys, Wall-Mounted turret guys and the bouncing red orbs ASAP!
- Conserve power-up ammo when you can, especially good stuff like spread gun, RPG's, etc.
- It's a given, but try to conserve your lives. It's safe to have around 4 or 5 lives left when you get to second to last room - Tank Control.
- When you get to Mutoid Man's room, prepare for bouncing red orbs first, then focus as much as you can on his left turret. After that, get behind him. He can't hit you from the left behind him. Just be wary of his turrets, if they remain. Cautiously grab power-ups and spam him from behind him (keeping in mind your regular gun doesn't hurt him) - NEVER GET IN FRONT OF HIM! Also, be wary of the big exploding guys that come in and their shrapnel.
Be forewarned. This may take hours to defeat. But keep at it. Eventually you'll know patterns and get a good run with killer power-ups! Once Mutoid Man is defeated, that sweet, sweet gold is all yours!
this can only be done once per game
