This will most likely be one of the last achievements you have to unlock after getting S rank on all levels, along with the achievement for 10k kills.
It's probably best to combine the two achievements.
The best mission I feel to replay is Bugga'veo+, the NG+ version, as it has so many tiny bugs on it and you can easily get 500-700 odd kills in the 3-4 minutes it takes to conplete the level. Especially with God mode just running through the level and spamming Y with Void King Glove secondary weapon.
Doing this you'll also get 400-500 coins per level. There may be a better mission for coins, but you'll probably be closer to 10k coins than closer to 10k kills, so best to just get the coins incidentally whilst going for the kills on this mission.

Yeah it is across all missions, I don't believe it tracks it anywhere unfortunately. I'm unsure whether spending coins in levels takes away, however even if it does, max you'd spend over whole playthrough would probably only be couple thousand, which you'll get back when replaying for 10k kills anyway. I personally didn't spend that much during first 9 levels as can simply pick up weapons as power ups and be totally fine, only need to get through the levels as don't need to bother with S rank right away. It's worth spending perhaps for the 5 NG+ levels if the situation calls for it, such as buying rockets for bosses. It's totally not a big deal and worse case scenario is you have to spend an extra 10 mins replaying this mission at the end.

Is this accumulated? Also wondering if there is somewhere you can see how many you’ve collected? Don’t want to purchases any items during play if it removes the coin from the 10k.
