Quite simple. Setup a brewing stand and collect the following regeants:
- Nether Warts
- Water Bottle
- Blaze Powder
Add the nether warts to the top of the interface, the water bottle to the bottom and the blaze powder as the fuel. This will create an awkward potion and the achievement will pop.

Is there anywhere easy I can get blaze powder? The walkthrough doesn't account for this as apparently you never used to need blaze powder.

Not as far as I know i'm afraid. I just took my time and picked up a couple rods while killing blazes when I needed some nether achievements. I've not seen it anywhere else e.g villager trading sadly.
