How to unlock the Break the Spell achievement in Minecraft Dungeons - Definitive Guide

Recommended:
Level: Creeper Woods, Soggy Swamp, Pumpkin Pastures, Redstone Mines, Cacti Canyon, HighBlock Halls (THERE IS A LOT HERE).
Recommended Tiers are: I, II, III, IV, V, VI
Tip: Are you struggling to kill the Enchanted mob? Damage it before the Book Illager is able to "enchant" it. It will be a lot easier to kill this way

An "Enchanted Mob" is a mob that is getting buffed from a "Book Illager".

The "Book Illager" (At least what I'm calling it) is an Illager that is holding a book, and will NOT attack the player. Instead it will "Enchant" an allied mob, this means it will make it larger, giving it more health, and sometimes a small damage boost (Enchanted Mobs are normally larger, have a beam hitting it and are a more greyish tone).

"Book Illagers" are extremely common and you will normally see them shoot a beam at an enemy mob this will sometimes cause the mob to be larger and have a slight greyish tone.

Kill the "Enchanted" mob (The mob the beam is hitting, again the mob should be greyish, or larger then the rest).

Repeat 50 times and the achievement is yours!

Enchanted Mobs are the ones that have a blue hue to them along with the name of their buff below their name. In the default difficulty you'll really only find them with an Enchanter mob. The Enchanter mob will enchant nearby enemies who will count towards your total. Since they rarely spawn in default mode(aside from daily trails) your best bet is to move to higher difficulties as they'll spawn more naturally there. If your playing normally, you will most likely earn this sometime in your Adventure playthrough.

Enchanted mobs glow purple and have special abilities like being faster, doing more damage, or burning you when you get close. They will always have increased health. On lower difficulty playthroughs, they are usually connected to an enchanter mob. Killing the enchanter mob first will break the enchantment turning the enchanted mob back to its regular form, thus not counting toward this achievement.

On harder difficulties, enchanted mobs can spawn in on their own without an enchanter, meaning their enchantment can’t be broken and you will have to defeat the enchanted mob as is. They seem to have a higher spawn rate on Adventure and Apocalypse difficulty on the Creeper Crypt level.

You can get the trophy at the beginning of the game, just wait for the mage resident to enchant some mob and then you need to kill this mob. And so 50 times. Either the trophy itself will fall on the “Adventure” or “Apocalypse” difficulties; there are a lot of enchanted mobs there.
