How to unlock the Homecoming achievement in Minecraft Dungeons - Definitive Guide
The Homecoming achievement in Minecraft Dungeons requires 3 items, patience, and a bit of RNG luck.
REQUIRED ITEMS
***Unique Varients Do NOT count towards achievements!***
1. Spelunker Armor (Bat) - Found in Cactus Canyon or your Camp Merchants
2. Tasty Bone Artifact (Wolf) - Found in Creeper Woods or Camp Merchants
3. Soul Lantern Artifact (Soul Entity) - Found in Cactus Canyon, SoulSand Vally Secret Level, or Camp Merchants
ANCIENT HUNT - DO NOT WASTE ENCHANTMENT POINTS (Progress will go up regardless if the Ancient appears!)
Now Equip the items and start up an Ancient Hunt, your gonna be looking for three different areas. The RNG is really bad, it might take several tries to even see any one of the areas your looking for.
***You could potentially get the correct areas several times without getting the location you need, there's several Spawn variations of each level.***
LOCATIONS
***Standing in close Proximity to these locations was
enough to trigger the Progression for the Bat, however some reported that the Wolf and Soul needed activation of the Artifact.***
WOLF - In the Creeper Woods area towards the very end theres a Portal or Gate Door to end the area, go just past it and look for a Wolf Den in the Rocks (You can hear Wolves Howling when close and can see 2 Wolves inside the Den) - 33% Progression

BAT - In the Spider area about halfway start looking for a Rock Cave (Lots of Bats will fly out when your close, it looks more like a curved rock wall) - 33% Progression

SOUL ENTITY - In the SoulSand Vally area towards the middle or end depending on your spawns your looking for a room with Screaming SoulSand faces on the wall. (Room has walls built out of SoulSand and blue flames in 3 of the 4 corners)- 33% Progression

Well, you need a chance for them to appear or you can't start the hunt. But the chance can be as low as you want (I think the minimum is 46 or 48%? Don't remember now).

General:
You can switch the items in the levels, you only have to wear / activate item at location.
Achievement Poped up when i reached my last missing area
Items you need:
Tasty Bone
Armor with Bat
Soul Lantern + Soul Gathering Weapons
Areas you have to find in Acients hunts:
Wolf:
Creeper Wood - like 1st Level from Campaign
find the Wolf Cave with Dog
Bat:
Spider Area - only in Ancient Hunt with Bat Armor
find a wall where Bats fly out
Soul:
Soul Sand Area - there are blue Flames and Soul Faces on the Ground
Rarest Area for me, i had also some Soul Sand Areas with non Soul Chamber. You have to gather Souls (Weapons with Skull Symbol) and find a Area with Soul Faces on the Walls and aktivate Soul Latern

Souls on the wall took me 15 different Soul Sand levels over 4 days of Ancient Hunting 😭 kept seeing them all over the ground, but RNG was a cruel mistress with spawning them on the wall. Thanks for the Screen Shot 🤘🏻 +1

Picture was worth a thousand words, especially for the ghost one. Thank you

Tenho o video com os locais exatos de cada animal. para encontrar os locais são aleatórios mas os locais que ficam cada animal não muda e o que pode mudar é o lado que fica o mapa, também colocarei um link do vídeo que fiz mostrando os locais!

SOUL:
I followed advice of an earlier post that suggested the offering of soul items and immediately spawned the “Soul dungeon” which included a wall with the souls on it. I’ve only tried this once so it may just be coincidence, but definitely worth a shot.
The downside is I was unable to make anything trigger with with the activation of the Soul Lantern in that room. Any suggestions?
BAT:
The upside, a connector room had a bridge which three bats flew out from underneath. I equipped Spelunker Armor and upon reaching the bridge, my Bat made a noise or two and then started doing backflips.
I haven’t seen other posts mentioning pets reacting so I’m unsure if it’s related.
Another plus to the Bat discovery is that there are at least two areas where it can be completed.
(I have screenshots but am having some difficulties loading them.)

Acquire the following before you attempt this in Ancient Hunts:
Spelunker Armor - Cacti Canyon, Redstone Mines, Lost Settlement, Windswept Peaks, The Stronghold, Merchants
Tasty Bone - Creeper Woods, Creepy Crypt, Redstone Mines, Dingy Jungle, Broken Citadel, Merchants
Soul Lantern - Creepy Crypt, Cacti Canyon, Underhalls, Soul Sand Valley, Merchants
You don't need to have them all equipped at once, but it helps if they're boosted for the difficulty and level you choose to run in. What you're looking for are distinct tilesets within three different maps, and the map rotation is truly random. With these three items in hand, set up an Ancient Hunt and dive on in. Each hunt will have three maps available, so if you don't get it by the start of the third map, just return to camp and start another hunt.
1) Bat
Area: Spider Cave (distinct map tile)
First, this area is a unique map that has its own sub-mission set with destroying egg clutches. If you look up at the sub-mission, it will say Spider Cave underneath it. While wearing the Spelunker Armor, run through this area until you come across an empty door cave (a spot where you'd normally find an Ancient Door, but this one doesn't). If you approach it, you should find a swarm of bats flapping away from it. If you had the bat out and near you when this happens, that should count, as there are no other indicators of things that you need to do beyond that.
2) Wolf
Area: Creeper Woods (not labelled as such)
This area is not in a unique sub-mission area, so just keep an eye on what map you come into. A pale blue light upon the grass, some spider webbing, but for the most part it'll be familiar to the first level you would've participated in. What you're looking for here is a similar empty door spot down one of the dead ends where you find a cave set with wolves within. Spawn your wolf here and just wait around a few seconds to get it to count. Out of the many times I ran hunts, I only got this map four times and only had the wolf tile appear half that.
3) Soul
Area: Soul Sand Valley (not labelled as such)
Another similar tileset like the woods that does not have unique sub-missions to them, but stands out with skeletal remains and blue flames flickering. Now, the challenge here is twofold: you should probably have several soul items equipped to help with soul collecting, and you're looking for one distinct set of tiles within the dead ends you'll come across. As an example, sometimes as you're walking through this map you'll see some odd, irregular earth tiles with "faces" on them. This is, if you haven't played enough of Minecraft like myself, Soul Sand, and the other earth tiles are Soul Dirt. What you're looking for in a dead-end is a collective of Soul Sand screaming face tiles along the wall. It won't be along the main path, so make sure you take detours as needed and checking your map. The moment you find a room with Soul Sand on the walls, get near it and summon your soul.
I went back and forth worrying about not getting the bat or soul marks, since we don't have a tracker available, and the soul's wall condition seems to be the hardest.

First, you'll need to following gear and artifacts to have these pets with you:
- Spelunker Armor (Bat) - Found in Cactus Canyon or purchased from Camp Merchants
- Tasty Bone Artifact (Wolf) - Found in Creeper Woods or purchased from Camp Merchants
- Soul Lantern Artifact (Soul Entity) - Found in Cactus Canyon, Soulsand Valley Secret Level, or purchased from Camp Merchants
- Wolf - In the Creeper Woods area, pass the portal and look for a Wolf Den in the rocks. You should hear wolves howling and see some wolves inside/on the rocks just outside the area. Make sure to use your Tasty Bone to spawn in your wolf when close to this location!
- Bat - In the Spider area, look for a cave you can enter. Bats should fly out if it is the correct location. Head inside with your bat to count this as done!
- Soul Entity - In the Soulsand Valley area, you should find a room made of soulsand with faces on it. There will be blue flame torches in each corner of the room. Head inside with your soul entity and you should be all done!
