How to unlock the So Many Stairs! achievement in Minecraft Dungeons - Definitive Guide

Way easier to do that the TA ratio implies (for now).

There are 30 floors on one run of the Tower. To access the tower head Northwest in the hub or click it on the northwest side of the map overview.

Everytime you ascend a floor, you get +1 to your tracker. So this means you could make 10 attempts to get to floor 30 and only get to floor 10, and you'll still get the achievement.

It's slightly grindy if you're good at the game but if you're like me, and can't get a perfect enough run down, failing to get past 20 multiple times, you'll get this in no time.

straightforward: complete 100 floors - achievement is cumulative across tower runs, could do floor 1 100 times if you felt the need.

Has anyone else had a problem with the game crashing when you load up a previous tower run?

I found the tracker only went up at +10, not +1.

I’m glad you said “slightly”. If you clear the tower, that will get you 30% (60% if you didn’t play on Apocalypse difficulty first). In a few days there is a new tower. So if you complete each tower as it becomes available, then this achievement is in no way grindy.

But you can of course grind out the same tower three and a bit times if all you care about is being the first person to get the achievement.

This is cumulative across all of your tower runs. Tower floors consist of:
 
  • Combat floors – You need to defeat all for the enemies to clear the floor.
  • Boss floors – You need to defeat the boss to clear the floor.
  • Vendor Floors – Where you can purchase upgrades and just exit whenever to clear the floor.
 All of these count toward your total.

Cumulative. You can go through different Towers or replay the same one.
