How to unlock the Music to my Ears achievement in Minecraft: Edition - Definitive Guide
You can earn this in the tutorial.
Once you have completed the first area and are able to walk up the stone steps, you will come across a chest directly in your path at the top.
Take the music disc and jukebox from the chest and put then in your inventory.
Back out of the chest and simply place the jukebox on the floor and then take the disc and place it on the jukebox.

Irelyc - saw your comment - must of been mine - popped it in Tutorial world on june 13th no problems. Also i always play online 24/7.
Or do you mean the Online check box within the game... never really check that as i have some destructive nephews that i dont want coming in.. so its safer that way.
Came here to check on achievement as it wasn't popping in my wife's world for her or my son a few days ago. Didn't even realise there was an issue with this achievement, i will try her account in the tutorial when i have an moment an update here.

I usually play with music at around 50%. The achievement never popped. It only gives it to you if you're at 100% music.

If you wish to do this in survival, you can find a record (music disc) either in a dungeon or you can get one the more challenging way. Have a skeleton shoot a creeper with an arrow. The best way to do this is to hit the creeper three (3) times with an iron sword, then position yourself with the creeper in the middle of the skeleton and yourself.
This isn't the easiest way, but it's the most rewarding.

In the New Tutorial World, as soon as you walk through the stone walkway and trigger the fireworks, before crossing the bridge, turn to your right and there should be a chest and a crafting table next to a fire. Inside the chest is a music disc and jukebox. Simply remove the 2 items from the chest, place the jukebox down, select the music disc, and use it on the jukebox for the achievement to pop.
There are also music discs found throughout the world, mainly in chests. There is one near the main tutorial area at X: -164, Y: 138, Z: 39. It’s south-east of the main area, at the top of a wooden tower, which has a big red flag at the top made of red wool. The path towards it should be somewhat lit with torches already. I also found a music disc in the underwater temple in the large body of water, much farther southeast of the main area (it was in the bottom of the underwater pool, in a chest, in one of the rooms).
Once you have the music disk, you can create a jukebox at a crafting table. It requires 8 pieces of wood planks (any kind/combination) and 1 diamond (which you can get from the diamond blocks near the beacon). The jukebox is under the Decoration part of crafting, below the clay pot (8th slot).

For this achievement, you will need a jukebox and a music disc. Jukeboxes are made with 1 piece of diamond and 4 pieces of wood. Music discs are rare items that are found in dungeons. Once you've found a music disc, put it in your jukebox by pressing .
If you want the achievement quickly, there is a jukebox near the starting area in the tutorial just before the bridge. Open the chest next to it, insert the disc, and the achievement is yours.
