How to unlock the The End... Again... achievement in Minecraft: Edition - Definitive Guide
Just to help out anyone who, like myself, didn't already have an established world to get this on I will give some tips on how to use the tutorial world for this achievement. Mostly just where stuff is, but it should still help. You can also combine this achievement with "You Need a Mint", just bring an empty glass bottle with you to the end (there's some in the base).
Before that though, I will highlight that if you walk into a tutorial area, you can open a chest, remove some items, close the chest, and then press to close the tutorial. After doing this you can walk over to a different tutorial and back into the first area, open the chest, and all the items will be restored. You can use this method to get a large amount of crafting materials and other useful items. The tutorials did eventually vanish though, not sure why unfortunately. At any rate, use it while you can.
Now that that's done let's proceed.
1. As you run through the passageway to the main base, you will trigger some fireworks. Turn around and break the tripwire for some easy string to make a bow with. Saves the hassle of spiders.
2. There is 10 blaze powder in the chest at the brewing stand in the base. There are also ghast tears. These will help in making the ender crystals and eyes of ender.
3. There is a nether portal at X 128, Y 50, Z -119 in case you need more blaze rods for the powder. Try the chest reset method first, but otherwise don't fret, the portal comes out straight into a fortress, so plenty of blazes.
4. To kill the blazes take the diamond sword in the enchanting chest. Also use the reset method to take the bottles o' enchanting, for quick levels.
5. In addition to the enchanting chest, there are bottles o' enchanting in the chest next to the anvil and furnace, as well as the elytra chest.
6. To get some ender pearls, you can buy them from the clerics located at X 98, Y 78, Z -207. The ender pearl is a tier 3 trade, so you will need lots of gold to unlock tier 3 trades. The best source of gold are the elytra rings on the side of the towers. The ender pearls cost emeralds so be sure to bring some of those (mine the emerald rings if you need more.)
7. If you want diamond armour you can mine the diamond elytra rings. I only did this to be safe, if on easy you probably don't need diamond armour but it's there so why the hell not. Otherwise just make iron armour out of the iron blocks at the Golem tutorial.
8. If you want to enchant your gear before you go to face the dragon you can use the chest reset method to get loads of bottle's o' enchanting, then use them all and go to the enchantment table. What I did was put my bow in and try for the infinity enchantment, so I didn't have to worry about arrows.
9. The end portal in the tutorial world is located at X 172, Y 33, Z 105. Bring your 12 eyes of ender and slot them into the frame to activate it. At this point I turned auto-saving off and made a save right before jumping in. Also bring a pickaxe so you can mine your way up to the dragon.
10. If you get to the dragon and find that the damn end crystals healing it are indestructible, quit out of the world and load back in, making sure to select the "Reset the End" option. I encountered this issue, and this was the fix I found. Once your back in, make a save and the problem should stay gone.
11. When fighting the dragon, if you pillar up to the cages and mine them you can just fly down with your elytra, make a save, then snipe all the towers with a bow.
That's all I noted down during my run, overall it took about 6ish hours, but that's with all the scouting. Hope it's useful to someone. Happy achievement hunting!!!

YES! This will 100% be helpful for me. Gonna knock it out on the 360 first and transfer the save to the Xbox One so I don't have to do that twice. Thank you sir!

Like others, I was having problems with this achievement. The Ender Egg is right in the middle untouched, and the 4 End Crystals are all in the correct spots. For whatever reason, maybe due to it not being supported because it's an old world, the Ender Dragon wouldn't spawn. But luckily, there's still a way to get the achievement without having to start a new world.
What you need to do is go into the options of your world, and select "reset The End", which will make the Ender Dragon spawn as normal. Once you've went into the End and killed the Dragon now you should be able to make it respawn by placing the 4 End Crystals on each side of the exit portal, across from each other. Should look like this:
So the positive is that you'll still be able to get the achievement. The negative is you have to fight the Ender Dragon again. Oh well, if you did it once you'll be able to do it again!

If I already placed my end crystals down and He did not spawn am I able to get my crystals back ? I had a hell of a time getting those tears.

If you try to break them they all will explode. You'd be better off exiting without saving.

Here is a quick video guide on how to get the achievement. I show how to get gold, emerald and diamonds pretty fast but all you have to do for those materials is mine the rings that you can fly trough. Then at the end I also show how to get the ender dragon's breath. I hope it helps!

We just climbed up and hit them with our fists.

To respawn the Enderdragon you obviously need to kill him first...
Assuming you've done that you need a total of 4 End Crystals, you can get these by putting together 7 Glass blocks, 1 Eye of Ender and 1 Ghast Tear. To craft four of those you would need the following:
- 28 Glass blocks, you can get these by smelting 28 blocks of regular sand in an oven. This shouldn't be a problem at all.
- 4 Eyes of Ender, you get an Eye of Ender by combining Blaze Powder with an Ender Pearl. The Ender Pearl gets dropped by Endermen and Blaze Powder (under the food tab) is made from a Blaze Rod which is dropped by a Blaze. But you should know this already seeing as you killed the Enderdragon before.
- Finally 4 Ghast Tears, kill Ghasts untill you have four, easier said than done I know but thats all there is to it.
After getting all the ingredients and crafting 4 End Crystals you need to place them opposite each other on the Exit Portal (one on every side)
Make sure the Egg is placed atop the exit portal aswell, if you lost it an End reset is needed and you have to kill the dragon two more times.

Now, if you like me, have kind of reached a breaking point in this game and see these endless updates as nothing more than a chore, this guide is for you. There are effectively two means of obtaining this achievement.
1. If you have yet to really establish yourself a survival world, starting a fresh spawn and working your way to beating the ender dragon then respawning him using the method I will soon describe.
2. If you have a nice world established for yourself and have killed the Ender dragon in this world. Unfortunately, if you started this world before this update dropped simply respawning the already killed ender dragon will not work. In order for this to work you will need to reset the end from the game options menu before entering the game. Doing so will not change the position of the end portal, nor will it mean you need to fill the end portal with eyes of ender again. All this will do is respawn the ender dragon and change the terrain of the end to match what is possible with this new update. Doing so allows you to kill the ender dragon and respawn him netting you this achievement.
So, whether you like it or not, you're going to need to kill the ender dragon, likely a second time unless you're new to the game, to get this achievement.
Killing the ender dragon in a pre- established world
When I first killed the ender dragon, I went in with full iron armor, diamond swords, enchanted bow, potions the whole nine yards. However, since then I personally have lost most of the resources required to make all that stuff, so I effectively cheesed my way through the ender dragon fight with next to no resources, I'll explain the best way to do that. (Note that this is how I beat him, and it ain't pretty, you are totally free to kill him in what any way you see fit, this is meant for people with limited resources who just want to get this out of the way as quickly).
There is a bit of grind required at first, but its not too bad. You need about 5 stacks of cobblestone and around 25- 30 arrows. The cobblestone is easy and won't take more than few minutes (if you don't have it already). The arrows can be a little frustrating, if you have a chicken farm this will go really fast as a single feather gives you 4 arrows (you need a stick and flint as well, flint has a chance of dropping from gravel, easily obtained). If not, I suggest you spend your days hunting down chicken and brutally murdering them for their feathers, and your nights looking for skeletons which have a chance of dropping one or 2 arrows, all and all I think this took me maybe 30 minutes, its not too bad.
So with your arrows and cobble, you will need a few more things.
1.Make just a stupid amount of stone swords, I made about 20, but they're very cheap and easy to make (two cobblestone and 1 stick), so go crazy.
2. A little bit of food, hopefully you have a wheat farm or animal farm set up, I brought about 20 pieces of bread.
3. A bed.
4. A little bit of wood (you need a crafting bench plus a chest, and a little more in case by some miracle you run out of swords).
5. 2 or 3 bows (3 pieces of wool and 2 sticks).
6. 2 or 3 stone pic- axes
7. If you have any xp, enchant some stuff unless you're okay losing it all, you will be dying alot for this to work, do not bring any enchanted items with you.
With all this in your inventory head on over to the ender portal, having reset the end.
Fighting the dragon
DO NOT jump into the portal just yet when you get there. Wait until night time and sleep in a bed placed right beside the portal, this way if (and when) you die in the end you will respawn right beside the portal. Place a chest beside the bed and unload everything in your inventory. You want to only have on you, a bow and maybe 10 or so arrows.
Now this method requires you do small amounts of damage to the ender dragon before he kills you, and then jumping right back in to do a little more.
Before you can do this, you need to take out his purple healing things. They are located atop high spires and are destroyed by any damage, exploding as they do. This is why you have the bow. Take out as many as you can from the ground. Some of them have iron bars around them which you will deal with soon. The ender dragon shouldn't pose much of a threat here, he could potentially swoop down and knock you off the edge, but this is unlikely.
If you die respawn and grab another bow plus a few more arrows and jump back in. Once all the unguarded pink things are destroyed, jump off the edge and respawn.
Now grab about 32 cobblestone plus a pick- axe. and jump back in. Head to the back of one of the towers with an iron fence guarded orb and start building up to it with the cobblestone. The enderdragon may knock you off, killing you, in which case, again, grab another pick and cobble and repeat. When you reach the top, knock down the fence with your pick and smack the pink thing, it will blow up and killing you, but that's fine.
Repeat this for the rest of his health things.
Once all are dead the real fun begins. Grab a single stone sword plus about 12 or so cobble and jump in. Head over to the portal thing in the center of the area and try and build a kind of stair case reaching a little above it, giving you a better angle to hit him. When the dragon flies down to this area, just start wailing on him with the stone sword, you won't do much damage, but because all his health things are dead any damage you do is totally permanent no matter how much you die.
From here it's just a matter of repeating this process, he will likely destroy your cobble bridges so you will need to keep rebuilding it, but if you die, grab another sword and head back in.
After a few minutes of slowly wailing on him he'll die. Again, don't let me stop you from getting full armor and a metric f*ck load of arrows for this, this strategy is designed to be quick and require very little resource grinding, but it still gets the job done.
Start to finish to whole battle doesn't take more than about 15- 20 minutes using this strategy.
Unfortunately, killing the enderdragon is just the first step, now we respawn him
Respawning the enderdragon
This is pretty simple. You can craft those healing block things you destroyed during the fight, making 4 of them and placing them around the ender portal leading from the end to the main world respawns him. Crafting one requires:
-7 glass blocks (simply smelt sand)
-1 eye of ender (1 ender pear plus 1 blaze powder)
-1 ghast tear (frequently dropped by ghasts in the end).
And you need to make four of them.
Getting the ender pearls is simple by travelling to the end and killing a bunch of enderman, you will have 4 in no time.
I personally had a ton of blaze powder on hand, otherwise you will need to find a stronghold and kill a few blazes.
The ghast tears I found to be the most annoying, as you basically require a bow and arrow to kill ghasts. Thankfully, it only takes 2 fully charged arrows to kill a ghast and they stand a relatively high chance of dropping a tear. Navigating the nether is always treacherous so be careful, keep an eye out for ghasts and make sure you do not kill them over lava.
After killing one run over to where it fell and look for a ghast tear. Farming the ghast tears is honestly harder than the boss fight, so it may be worth getting a little bit of iron armor to make it easier.
Once you have collected the necessary components build 4 end crystals (I guess that's what they're called) and head to the end. The central "fountain" is surronded by bedrock, you will see sets of 3 bedrock on each side of the portal, in the middle most piece of bedrock is where you will need to place the end crystals. Once all 4 are placed, a little cutscene kind of thing plays and the ender dragon shows up to the party. BOOM, achievement pop!
Hopefully this guide is helpful, there are many ways to approach this and this acts as a very minimalist approach, good luck!
1. If you have yet to really establish yourself a survival world, starting a fresh spawn and working your way to beating the ender dragon then respawning him using the method I will soon describe.
