How to unlock the The Science of Deduction achievement in Minecraft: Story Mode - Definitive Guide

Use the peephole, wait for the conversation to end and then punch the peephole. No matter what your choice is, a character will die here and you will end up following the white pumpkin. Follow the QTE instructions to chase him. After all the conversations you will need to investigate the room. Look at the portrait and punch it.
Inspect the items on the right wall and put the arrow on the left, the web on the right, and the sand in the middle. The door will open.
After that you need to build some ladders on the crafting table, then place it in the hole. The chapter will end here.

As you continue to try and solve the mystery you come across a locked door. You'll have to solve a puzzle to get the door open. Once you explore further you'll find a cavern you need to figure out how to get down. Once you do the achievement will unlock.
