Do NOT set the difficulty to peaceful or the Evokers will not spawn. (thanks to WJS Osiris for the info)

Turn around and the mansion is right in front of you

You will want to mine for some iron armor and a sword to take on the tough mobs in the mansion

The Evoker is the villager looking mob that casts spells

After you kill the Evoker they will drop a Totem of Undying

Which you will need for this achievement

The Cheating Death achievement in Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition worth 150 pointsUse the Totem of Undying to cheat death.

Just Equip the Totem and let any mob kill you(The Totem has to be in your hand or it wont activate)
When you get to zero hearts the totem will spin around and you will get the achievement

Where is he in the mansion? I find endless mobs but no evoker.

Unfortunately they spawn in random rooms. I was able to find them mostly on the third floor.

No crazy axe fighting guys, only normal mobs -- creepers, skeletons, spiders, and zombies.

I also couldn't spawn any guardians or elder guardians in the tutorial world. I will delete DLC and re-download.

Hey, while I was trying to find an Evoker, I found an Enchanted Book having the Frost Walker II for you to use on an Anvil for armor boots to get the Let It Go! achievement.

having the same issue as schiz only normal mobs. can it be done on easy? or is med/hard needed. thanks for the seed btw very helpfull

ok think I figured it out... you cant create the game in peacefull then switch to easy. the mobs appear to be tied to specific room generation so i guess becuase the mansion is so close to the spawn, loading in peacefull means they will never get generated.

I made a wood sword and gathered a lot of dirt. climbed to the top floor and just killed them one at a time and respawned to get my sword and get the next one. 2nd one was the right one and had to respawn to grab the idol and get that achievement. Easy stuff.

there's 5 Iron ore just below the ground at 194, 57, 231. Enough to make an Iron Sword and Iron Pickaxe, which was enough for me to conquer the Mansion. Then you just need another 31 to make an Anvil for that Frost Walker 2 book that's behind the Illager face on the wall at the top of the Mansion, turn around as you reach the top and it's in a hidden room behind that.

Thanks a ton for this seed, it was super useful for multiple achievements. Off to the northeast of the spawn at 394,81,61 I set up shop. In that area llamas readily spawn everyday, making the "So I Got That Going For Me..." achievement easy to get. Just chop down wood from the forest near the spawn to make an enclosure for the llamas. Hunt for a slime-ball and spiders at night to get the materials for the lead and you are good to go.

Also in that area where I set up my base there is a hole to start mining for iron ore. I found iron ore pockets at the following locations: 399,53,80 . 417,51,76 . 421,47,76 . 424,42,71 . 424,43,76 (I tested this on two different loads of the seed so hopefully it is there for you too).

This will be enough ore for a full iron armor set, a sword, a pick-axe, and a bucket (always useful). Now you can make a run at the Evoker on normal difficulty (or hard if you are lucky).

It may seem obvious, but you have to actually be the one to kill the Evoker.
I tamed 4 dogs and sicced them on it ... they killed it, no achievement.
Reloaded and shot him with arrows from outside its room and it popped.

Just started using this solution, and found an iron ore vein at 289,64,246, pretty close to the spawn point and with 18 iron ore blocks. Sharing for anyone who needs it. Cheers!

Circumnavigated the map, but no deep sea biome for Let It Go. Getting the boots and frost walker was a lot easier than finding the biome. Any help appreciated.

Edit: Just did it in tutorial again instead. Oh well.

I did all this. Killed the evoker and used the totem. No achievements :-( Any thought? I spent several hours mining iron and I would not want to delete the saving...

@duckonabike: If you go to 394,81,61 there should be a flat piece of land made out of rocks. Setup your house there. Right next to this area is a large plateau made out of mostly dirt. Right next to that is a deep valley that's jungle like and has one tree. Down in that valley slimes will spawn regularly. If you have gone to an area near a beach, sugar plants, and many trees you are in the wrong place.

If you are only interested in this achievement then I got this on my sons account in about 10 minutes along with the cheating death achievement. I followed all the instructions above and set the world to easy difficulty with a bonus chest.

I took all the items from the chest as well as the torches and the chest itself. I then headed towards the mansion and on my way mined some cobblestone and chopped some wood. I climbed the hill to the right of the mansion until I got to a window. I made a crafting table which I used to make some stone swords. I put the chest down and filled it with all my items except 1 sword. I smashed a window and entered looking for the evoker. When you see one just charge at it with the sword. When it dies equip the totem of undying to unlock the cheating death achievement when you di. If you die before you manage to kill an evoker just run back to the chest, collect another sword and enter the mansion for another go.

You should be able to get both achievements before nightfall.

Used the seed given by Strykerz911. Would recommend making a bed and setting up a hut right outside the mansion so that if/when you die you spawn back outside. Otherwise it's a bit of a walk to get back the the mansion from the initial spawn.

For those who are having issues unlocking the achievements even after killing the evoker and using the totem on survival mode:
1. Kill the evoker and use the totem
2. Quit the game and go to the Xbox home (I didn't save and quit - I'm not sure if it matters here but if it doesn't work then try saving then quitting)
3. Sign out of your account and start minecraft again
4. When it asks you to sign in, do so.
The achievements both unlocked for me right after this. It also seems to help other achievements unlock for other people. Happy hunting!

I can confirm the Evoker can be found near the coordinates given by GH05T SN1P3R 92 above. The mansion is at the center of the island at the northwest corner of the tutorial world map. I found this easier than spawning into a fresh seed, as I already had good equipment and weapons making it an easy kill

I actually managed to kill an Evoker outside one of the two mansions that spawned on the seed I'm currently playing! Saw a robed figure at a bit of a distance wading in the water outside one of the mansions, killed it with my bow & arrows without ever getting near it, and when I went over to see what loot it had dropped (I originally thought it was a witch as there's a witch hut on the far side of that mansion), I got the totem. Thanks for the tip about having to be holding it, though. I fell into lava unexpectedly and was disappointed when I wasn't revived, but if I have to be holding it that explains that.

Tips———Use the seed. Start mining cobblestone. 2 stacks and craft a stone sword. Then go to the left side of the mansion as you face it from the spawn area. Construct some stairs on the left side of the masion around the trees up to the last floor of it. In one of the rooms with windows you will find the evoker and 2 mobs. Block the door with dirt—YOU TRAPPED THE EVOKER IN THE ROOM. Kill them all with patience. Achievement unlocked without a stress.

~~I decided to add this solution after finding out that after several update's the Mansion no longer spawns in the seed given to us by: AAronXXPatriots~~

EDIT: As point out to me in the comments by Arador the seed given in AAronXXPatriots solutions does still work, I don't know why I could not get the Mansion to spawn. I tried it several times but it would never show up

So incase people are running into the same problem like I did, I will leave this solution Online so you can use it if you want to

. Feel free to use his guide or mine, the end result will be the sam, you getting the achievement and that's what counts

So I decided to do some searching on the internet and found another seed that still works (on August 17 2017). So to save everybody else some time by having to search the internet I'm sharing the seed with you all of you.

Seed: ibxwood20
Biome Scale: Medium

The best thing about this seed is that you spawn right on top of the mansion and if you look around you will see another mansion pretty close by.

His video says that there are 4 Mansions on this seed, I myself haven't looked around the entire map so I don't know if it's still true.

If you find that this seed is no longer working, please tell me in the comments. I will then remove it or change it by adding another seed.

And don't forget, as mentioned before: Do NOT set the difficulty to peaceful or the Evokers will not spawn.
