How to unlock the ...has become the master achievement in Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition - Definitive Guide

This achievement can be boosted with a 2nd controller, or with a friend. Whenever the game has started, no one can join in the current round. So simply set up a public battle match. Immediately ready up by pressing cn_X. Then when the match starts, wait for the countdown to finish and immediately either suicide or kill the 2nd player. Repeat for another match and then ready up again for a 3rd match. Hopefully no one has joined in when the 3rd match starts, and you can get your achievement.

- If players join while you are ingame, select their name and start a vote to kick them. If you keep kicking players with both of your accounts before a 2nd random has joined, you can keep the lobby to yourself.
-It HAS to be a public match (either casual or competetive)
-It HAS to be 3 consecutive matches in the same lobby. Doing 1 win, then backing out and doing 2 more wins in this way does not count.

Alternatively if you cant do 3 consecutive wins without anyone joining, you can lock down a lobby with 8 accounts/controllers. (guest accounts work)

I can confirm that this works with a 2nd controller.
I found that there is more players in competitive, so I used casual. The only key here is to ready up asap.

I don't understand how you do this with a second controller. Does the second controller need a gold membership? I create a battle match with my main profile, and it loads in, and I press "X" but I need at least one more person to be in the lobby and ready for the game to launch.

If your first controller is signed in as and XBL profile, the second control should have an XBL guest profile near the bottom of the profile list when signing in.

Thanks, Fabere, but this still isn't working? WHen I go into the lobby it says I only have 1 player. I'm not in splitscreen, and my second controller does nothing. What on earth am I doing wrong??

Hi KDolez,

I always remember seeing on the pop ups from the game that you need to have a HD TV to be able to do split screen. I remember switching from the colored cords to a HDMI cable and it worked fine.
I'm not sure if the HDMI cables did the trick or I upgrade my TV it was so long ago.
I hope this helps! smile

Yes, HDMI cords are required for split screen. Also for some reason my game only lets me use a second controler if I launch the lobby. Hope this helps!

NO, HDMI cords are not required for split screen.. I did 3 player split screen using the composite? cable the console has. However, I do have it switched to "HD" with the tiny little switch where that cord plugs into the console. So, I would guess that HD TV is required.

It wouldn't let me launch with the second player with the standard input cables for the 360 either. Lucky me, I took my Xbox One HD cable plugged it into the 360 and used that, worked perfectly and let me launch split screen. If you guys need some help with boosting just send me an invite, I'll help you boost whatever it is you need.

I changed my region on my console to taiwan not my profile. Then used the two controller method and quickly started each game. Also I played during times I thought that many people would not be on playing. Dont forget to change your region back to your locale.

I had the same problem with getting both accounts to link up so I switched to a HDMI cable and that took care of the problem

Easy with a second controller

Open the Mini Games menu and create a battle mini game. Make sure to tick the box next to public. Make sure the map Crucible is selected.

Log in with second profile on a second controller before entering the lobby world. Once the lobby world has loaded quickly hit cn_B then select the map Crucible. Quickly hit cn_X to begin the match before anyone else can join.

Once the match has begun use your second profile (the one you don't want the achievement on) to run into the lava and die. Repeat this 3 times to get the '...Has Become The Master' achievement

You can't exit out of the lobby and back in and have it count it HAS to be three games in the same lobby.

This can be done with a second controller or a friend. Start a Public Match on Competitive in the mini game menu. When you’re in the waiting lobby, both players should hit the X button (to ready up) immediately.

When the match starts and the countdown end, just kill the other player to win the match. Once you’re returned to the lobby, ready up to start the second match, repeat and win again. Then start up your last game and once you win that you should unlock the achievement.

NOTE: You cannot exit the game and re-launch three separate times, all three wins must be consecutive in the same session. This means that it’s very important to ready up as soon as you’re back in the lobby, and to kill each other as quickly as possible so that no other players join the match.
