How to unlock the Map Room achievement in Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition - Definitive Guide
Map Room - 40G (Requires Title Update 48)
Difficulty: Easy
Estimated Period of Time: Long
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Boosting Method: If you have a friend or know anyone that already has a completed map, you can borrow it from them and place it in an item frame to get this instantly and without all the trekking hassle.
Solo Method: While playing the new Elytra Tutorial, you will find Item Frames all along the walls in the starting town ahead of you. Simply "mine" them to break the item out of them, and "mine" them again to collect them (You only need one).
The other item you'll need is a Map which you will always start with a blank one in your secondary inventory once you start the Tutorial. Before you start, make sure you equip the Elytra and have a Boat in your inventory. (The Elytra is VERY helpful for diving off cliffs and flying across canyons and ravines to quickly map large section is seconds.) While you walk around, you will notice your map fills up over a certain distance around you. Simply run around the world (or use a boat to get the edges and corners, boats can be found at the docks in the main tutorial village) to "uncover" all the areas on your map.
Once you've uncovered the entire map (or think you have as some spots are tan like uncovered locations) simply use the Item Frame on any wall and then use the Map on the Item Frame to get your Achievement assuming the map is 100%. If not "mine" them both back down and look more carefully at your map. (Keep an eye at the bottom edge as your main inventory slots like to block it from view)
IMPORTANT NOTE: Thanks to LordFightALot a solution has been found for anyone that was trapped with relocked Achievements on the day of Title Update 48's release! Do as follows and there is a 99% of it working!
"This is exactly what I did:
1. Start up the Xbox (it auto signed in for me)
2. Manually sign out of your profile on the Xbox dashboard.
3. Launch Minecraft.
4. Press Play Game
5. A popup appears and asks you to sign in. Press Yes [I want to sign in].
6. The achievements popped right away on the world selection screen."
If this worked for you, don't thank me, go thank LordFightALot!

I don't understand why you gave directions to that particular frame. There are many frames in the starting area of the tutorial. But otherwise, it was a helpful solution.
