How to unlock the Pot Planter achievement in Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition - Definitive Guide

Easily earned with no effort in the tutorial world.

Head across the bridge to the castle. Go in the entrance on the left side, and up the stairs immediately to your right. You will find a table covered in pots. Just punch one, pick it up, and place it back down anywhere. Achievement Unlocked!

EDIT: Looking at the comments, this does seem to be a little buggy. If the above trick doesn't work for you, then you'll have to make one yourself. You'll need 3 clay balls. Clay can be found in shallow areas of water. Then cook the clay balls in a furnace to make bricks. Then just craft the flower pot on a crafting bench and place it down.

You have to craft one and place one. If you've already crafted one before this update, you can replace an existing one.

@Groudon199: That is definitely not the case. I haven't touched the game in almost 3 years, and I know I've never crafted one. check my achievements, I completed the base game in May 2012, BEFORE flower pots existed and haven't played since

I had to make clay into bricks to get the achievement. I tried picking it up off the table and putting it back but it didn't work.

Following the newest, and final update for the Xbox 360 version of Minecraft: The Aquatic Update, the above solutions are longer valid.

You can find a small patch of clay at X 266, Y 63, Z -266 in the Tutorial world. I'm sure you can figure out how to make the pot on your own.

Great and easy solution! Plus as i'm sure everyone knows: you can always quit without saving if you don't want to make the trek back to the city lol

I followed this, but before I got to a crafting table I dscovered a huge mansion type structure and stumbled across a pot plant that I mined then placed for the achievement. For those interested, that structure is at X: -332, Y: 75, Z: -278 - I found the pot in the second floor in a small dark room.

After a long search, I finally found some clay in the Elytra tutorial world.

Coordinates are X:118 Y:65 Z:-265

Every clay block drops 4 clay, so you only need to break one block, cook 3 clay in a furnace to make 3 bricks, and use those to craft a flower pot and place it somewhere.

Since punching a pre-existing flowerpot doesn't seem to work anymore (at least it didn't for me), here's where to find some clay. Take a shovel and some furnace fuel behind the castle in the tutorial world and dig some clay out of the water there. I found some at X:76 Y:61 Z:-37. From there you can easily make a furnace out of castle stone and get some wood from a nearby tree, or just return to the village and use what's there. Use the clay and some fuel in the furnace to turn the clay to bricks, and once you have three bricks you can craft the flowerpot.

For this achievement you will need clay which is commonly found within small water pockets and smelting it into three brick bars within the furnace and then you can create the flower pot under the Decorations section in a crafting table

Note: the supplies should be quickly available within the Tutorial area if you decide to go that route.

To create a Flower Pot you will need to find clay; clay can be found underwater near sandy shores, it is similar to sand in appearance. Once you have the clay, smelt it and it'll turn into a brick. Use three bricks to craft a Flower Plot.
