How to unlock the The End. achievement in Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition - Definitive Guide

One important detail, Play on PEACEFUL otherwise there will be a endless amounts on Enderman in The End.

To get to the End you will need:
-12 Ender Pearls
-6 Blaze rods
-1 Crafting table
Firstly make blaze powder using the blaze rod. Next combine the Ender Pearl and the Blaze powder together to make the Eye of Ender.

Once you've made 12 or more Eye's of Ender hit LT and follow where the Eye goes, it should eventually lead you to a spot where the Eye just flies towards the ground. Dig straight down until you reach whats know as a Stronghold, follow the maze of hallways until you reach the portal, now place each Eye in a holder then jump in. Once inside keep walking until you reach multiple pilliars, start stacking blocks to the top to destroy the crystals. Once all crystals are destroyed start attacking the dragon, i recommend using a Diamond sword and waiting till he stops in the center. When you've finally kill the dragon jump in the portal that is created upon his death and the achievement will unlock.

Or for a Much more simply method you can join a game that the dragon has previously been killed in so when you make your way to the End you want have to deal with him at all, Once again just jump in the portal and the achievement will unlock.

You can make a world on the same seed as the world you've collected the Eye of Ender on in creative and find the portal so you know where to go on your actual world.

Blaze rods actually make 2 blaze powders each so you should only need 6. Also if you play on the tutorial world there is an end portal with 3 eyes already in it, meaning you would only need 5 if you played on that world.

Would you like an easier time getting ender pearls? Enchant a sword with Looting III, and you'll often get 3 pearls per enderman kill. Helps out a little. :)

True, the only problem with that is hoping you get the right enchantment so your exp wasn't wasted.

That's why turn auto save off and save before you do the enchantment, then you can reload save if you don't get what you want.

Also, if you had beat the Enderdragon before the recent update, you can go through the portal you already had and then just jump into the credits and the achievement will unlock. I did this on the 360 and then transferred my game over to the One and did the same thing, saves a lot of time.

Exactly, save before enchanting! :) I just go up to my enchanting tablet, point at it, save, then try enchanting with a lvl 30 enchant. If I don't like what I get, I quit without saving and do it again. Sometimes it takes a few tries.

Sorry, I should have mentioned this in my other reply.

Due to the recent updates and attempts of the second battle, I cannot seem to destroy any End Crystals... Therefore, I cannot kill the Enderdragon.

Go to game option before loading and turn off TNT explodes, the healing crystals don't blow up anymore making the entire thing easy, as long as it's on peaceful so you have health regen.

Not guaranteed* But its working for me as I typing this.

For Solo players, when you get to the end, destroy all the tower beacons.
When done, dig a tunnel 2-5blocks below the dragon mantle surface level about 5 blocks away from it. The dragon should fly below ground to u so you can attack but he will not. Just hold trigger until health is gone then u have to surface for the finishing blow.

Very easy to do solo! If you don't fancy reading the essay below heres the video smile
You can just jump in a world where someone has already killed the dragon then enter and exit the End and the achievement should pop.

Or you can do it solo heres how...

Make a copy of your world - Making a copy of your world (or the world you want to do the achievement in) will let you load it up in creative mode without losing the ability to get achievements in the original save. To do this name your save something you'll remember. Head to the dashboard of your system and find the saves location on the storage device. Copy the save to another storage device (when you next load the game choose the save on the second storage device).

Finding The End Portal - Load up the new version of your world in creative and place the Eye Of Ender in your inventory. Throw the Eyes using cn_LT and follow them until they gather around a single spot in the air (the End Portal is located below). Mine through the floor and find the portal and write down the co-ordinates from your map. Now head back to your original save to activate the portal and fight the dragon.

Getting The Eyes Of Ender - To activate the portal you will need 9x Eyes Of Ender. You craft these by combining Ender Pearls and Blaze Powder. Ender Pearls are dropped by Endermen (head to a flat piece of land they are easier to spot). To farm Blaze Rods for Blaze Powder save and load your game on peaceful. Then head to the Nether and find a fortress. Once here locate a Blaze Spawner and block it off to its safe to farm. Break down the Blaze Rods until you have 9x Blaze Powder. Once you have all the materials combine the Pearls and Powder to make 9x Eyes Of Ender.

Killing The Dragon - Take the Eyes Of Ender to the co-ordinates you got from your map and place them in the outer edge of the portal. After the portal activates head through and make your way to the main area (Take lots of blocks and a few pickaxes). Climb to the top of each Obsidian Tower and destroy the healing thing at the top. After destroying all of them head to the Bedrock tower in the center of the area. Stand under the dragon and punch until its dead. Once dead, jump in the portal and the achievement should pop

Hope this helps smile

You stole my diamonds location of the 4 diamonds from one of my videos. You also took the idea of saving the game before killing an enderman from me and if he doesn't drop an ender pearl then reload the save. Give credit where credit is due you asshole.

EDIT: with the new updates, the tutorial world has changed. I will always recommend doing this achievement in a tutorial world because the developer makes sure all of the elements are present to complete it are present and there are usually easily found stockpiles of materials laying around.

Sorry for the wall of text, but my capture device is bugging out.

I started a new world and planned on using it for all of the new achievements. After spending a good amount of time and getting a good deal of achievements I used the same seed to make a copy world that I was able to be in creative. I actually wound up with a world without a portal and was greatly devastated. Luckily the tutorial world has a portal and a lot of resources ready to use in all the right places.

The hardest part of this is actually getting to the dragon, so this will also focus on entering the end. Play The Tutorial Level on Easy to start. If you want, you could technically start on Peaceful, but you will need to kill some mobs to get some required items. This took me the better part of one day to do, but I was not playing my best. Realistically, it might take a couple of hours. Save often, especially prior to tense situations like the nether and disable auto saving when in the nether just in case.

Skip as much as you can with the tutorial. After second playthrough, I set my controller down and waited for it to say press cn_B to skip. The first time, I got sucked into the Zelda owl trap and kept mashing cn_A when I should have been paying more attention to the text box because it wouldn't allow me to progress. Once you leave the initial area head over to the enchantment area and check the chest for the Bottle o' Enchantments and blaze powder. The bottle o' enchantments will help you power level and get the point where you can enchant a very nice sword that will speed things up. Next, head on over to the area with the anvil and there should be another 64 Bottles o' Enchantments, an enchanted shovel, and an enchanted stone pick axe. Right next to this is the beacon and a chest. Check the chest for some iron ingots. Use these ingots to craft an iron pick axe.

After you have secured all of these items head in the direction of the castle and behind the villager that trades for paper, there is a shore between the village and the castle . Down there is a chest full of boats. Grab the boats and place one in the water. Following your map head to the coordinates: X: -211 Y: 83 Z: 331. As you near these coordinates you will see a large pirate ship, next to a mansion. Climb up the ladder and head into the mansion. Once inside, the first door on your right will be the inspiration room. Go to the left and in the corner will be two blocks of diamonds. Head back into the main hall and directly across is the kitchen. There is a good amount of food here that you can take.Head back to the main hall and continue inside to the next micro hall that leads to the stairs. You can take either side down and you will go down two sets of stairs where there will be a room on the right labeled "Library". Once inside there is a fireplace with a lever on the left. Flip the switch and that will open a secret passage in the fireplace that leads to another block of diamond. (I managed to do this with just the two from the "inspiration room").

After you have acquired The diamond blocks head back upstairs to the main hallway and continue inside. You will pass the glass area and there will be a sign indicating "store room." Grab the bow from the chest on the left hand side of the room marked "tools weapons." Climb up to the next floor where there is a large painting on the wall with a pressure plate in front of it. Before heading inside, if you haven't already use one of the crafting tables near the brewing stations to craft at least one diamond sword. Head inside the hidden door behind the painting and you will find an enchantment table. SAVE!!

Enchant your diamond sword to specifically get the loot attribute. You will want this as you will have to acquire several (in my case 9) eyes of ender (Ender Pearls + Blaze Powder). If you are going for other achievements (like Zombie Doctor) this mansion has a lot of items that help. Before leaving the area, check the dispensers on the pirate ship for arrows. I took way more than i needed. A row should be more than enough. I think I went through 1 and a half stacks fighting the dragon and taking out the crystals.

Now you have some farming to do. You can either hunt the endermen first or go after the blaze rods. For the blaze rods there is a nether portal located in the starting village inside the basement of that giant castle Coordinates X: 95 Y 62 Z: -92. SAVE!!! You enter the nether at X 35 Y 55 Z -29. Head to the coordinates X: 122, Y: 62, Z: 107 to find a blaze spawner. Each blaze rod is good for 2 blaze powders, so I'd recommend getting at least 5 and they are not guaranteed. I dug my way through a mountain and then up inside of the nether fortress. It was quite a journey to get to the blaze with lots of gasts and wither skeletons trying to prevent my success.

For farming the endermen, there is a really nice flat desert land to the east of the mansion at X: 155 Y: 56 Z: 256. This is also extremely close to where you have to dig down to get to the end portal. I was also able to acquire a good amount of XP from other mobs that spawned and where I found my zombie villager for the Zombie Doctor achievement. Hopefully you get lucky with the enderman and they actually drop ender pearls and spawn consistently. After you mix the blaze powder with the ender pearls to make 10 or so eyes of ender you should have enough experience to enchant a bow to get some decent added damage. The bow I was using had Power IV, Punch II, & Flame I and did way more damage than my sword. Craft the remaining diamond you have into armor and head to the coordinates X: 41 Y: 35 Z: 218 to find the ender portal. I had to eliminate some water from the dig site, but after that I was clear to just dig straight down. SAVE!! and be careful as the portal is dangerously close to a ravine that has a good amount of lava as well.

From here save and quit out. Switch to peaceful and enter the end. If you do not switch to peaceful, you will have an unlimited number of angry endermen attacking you the entire time. Climb up the mountain and start taking out the crystals atop the large pillars. I used sand to climb up to the top of the pillars with crystals behind the iron bars and used my pick axe to get to them. I shot the Remaining crystals from a distance to cut down on the time. Once all of the crystals are destroyed the dragon will not regen health. Wait for him to swoop down and line up your shot and fire away. He will spew some toxins at you from time to time, but with diamond armor and the peaceful handicap you should be fine, if you side step out of the way. A few minutes of shooting him and he will go down without a problem.

The Enderdragon is the main/"final" boss in Minecraft, it is a giant dragon that can only be found in The End located inside the End Portal. To fight the dragon, you will need a sword, bow and arrows. Once you're in The End, you will find a giant platform full of Endermen with several tall towers scattered around. On top of these towers are little devices, you will either want to shoot these with your bow or build up to them and destroy them, as these devices heal the Ender Dragon.

Once, you've destroyed those devices it's time to attack the Ender Dragon. He will fly around around the map and occasionally swoop down at the players. Shoot him with arrows as he's flying and try to hit him with your sword as he swoops down. The Ender Dragon has a health bar unlike the other enemies in the game, so you should know when he's about to die.

Alternatively, you can do this on Peaceful mode where the only enemy is the Enderdragon.

For a video on how to get to The End, as well as tips on fighting the Enderdragon. SEE: "The End?"
