How to unlock the Let It Go! achievement in Minecraft - Definitive Guide

I'M SORRY FOR MY BAD ENGLISH

1. Find stronghold (seed: -27149278)
2. find the library (1098,31,180)
3. find the chests in the library, BUT do not open them
4. Leave the game and copy the entry in which you found these chests
5. enter the copied world and open the chests, if there is no frost walker book, repeat only the fourth and fifth points. If there is a frost walker book, I congratulate you :) (I managed to do it the second time)
6. if you find the book, create an anvil and shoes, then enchant the shoes using frost walker book
7. find the ocean (985,62,512) (1255, 62, 888) and go on the water with shoes. Achievement should pop out.
( Better location of the deep ocean found Quacky 2 Ducks, thanks bro smile )

"If you’re having trouble finding iron, there’s an above ground ravine that intersects a second ravine at 1236, 67, 102 it makes it a lot easier to get the 31 iron if you didn’t get enough from the stronghold chests"

Great method, worked perfectly. Now endlessly running around on the ocean trying to get this buggy achievement to unlock is the real challenge

(1255, 62, 888) is better for the deep ocean. Deep cold ocean and deep lukewarm ocean don't seem to count. But it all worked! Thanks!

Does it has to be a specific type of ocean? cause i do have frost walker boots in my world and I already walked on the deep lukewarm ocean and cold ocean (yes achievements can be earned in that world since i got another one some time later)

DraconicDrago3, it must be deep ocean ( there you can read something about
ocean biomes in minecraft https://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Ocean )

Still works!

This solution still works (popped it on Nov. 29, 2020). A couple additional tips to know while doing this ---- you need to be at Level 8 to make the enchantment (I was at Level 7 and had to grind a bit to hit Level 8). Also, the library is underground in a stronghold right under the town. Go to the very southeast part of the village and dig straight down at coordinates 1107, 63, 191. It's 32 blocks down (if you wanted to make some ladders before you descend). This is a nice stronghold as there are a few libraries and treasure chest rooms right where you tunnel down. I got a Frost Walker II book and a few other nice enchanted books on my first go. +1 solution as I've put this off forever. smile

If you have the Xbox One Edition, this is easy. See the Xbox One Edition guide on this achievement on how to get it in the tutorial world, then import the save after getting the boots so that you can use it on this edition.
Minecraft: Xbox One EditionLet It Go!The Let It Go! achievement in Minecraft: Xbox One Edition worth 102 pointsWalk across the surface of a deep ocean by freezing the water with Frost Walker boots.

Without the Xbox import method, there really is no easy way to do this as you can't manipulate trading in the new version, since autosave is always on. So if you want to start from scratch, you will have a harder time. This enchantment is not available through an enchantment table. You will need to obtain an enchanted book by either trading, fishing, or looting chests found in generated structures. You will then need to use an anvil to apply the enchanted book to a pair of boots.

With the boots in hand (or on feet), simply find a deep ocean biome and walk across the ice that forms in front of you for the achievement.

If you down vote, please leave a comment why so I can change the guide.

You can get this enchanted book by fishing and changing trades from a librarian and buy it with a book and emeralds

You must import your map from the Xbox One Edition.

A little patience goes a long way for this one. Load up the tutorial and head to the Merchant area. While here, let the tutorial message stay, loot the chest of paper and emeralds. Press cn_B to make the message go away, and go to the Animal Pen area and presscn_B when the tutorial pops up. Go back to the Merchant area and re-loot the chest. Repeat until you have 2 stacks of Emeralds (the more the better).

Go to the merchant with the white coat, and disable saving, manually save, and DO NOT RE-ENABLE SAVING. Buy his stuff until he has 10 items for sale, the last one will be the book you need. If he doesn't have it, reload your save and repeat.

This video shows it in a much better way.
