How to unlock the Elite achievement in Minesweeper Flags - Definitive Guide

No clever solutions here -- you just have to grind this out. Every board is random and unique, so here are a few general strategies:

Start by focusing on the middle of the board and clearing as much real estate as possible. When you get stuck, move to the edges of the board, as they will often help you "walk" along the edge and you will clear a lot of previously difficult sections. However, it is pretty common to get some "coin flip" sections of the board where you simply have to guess, especially when you're down to a small number of remaining flags.

My stats are in the ballpark of 35 wins and 500 losses, so expect to lose 10-15 rounds for every win. Some will be in the first few moves, but some will be very late in the round.

You can track your progress in the "My Stats" section.

They need to be wins in Expert Classic Mode (not online, not flags, etc.) 30x16 board, 99 mines, just like the game that comes with Windows.

Sorry, I don't know what to tell you -- the only thing I can think of is that the game may not have saved all of your wins. Maybe check your leaderboard stats? I'm pretty sure it tells you how many wins the game recognizes you having.

So far 1-133, probably only 2 or 3 losses can be attributed to my mistakes. Just having really bad luck with this

That sucks, I've never heard of any issues with it counting expert wins.

I found out why!!!

It doesn't go by Ur leaderboard wins!!

I was over 10 as i said, but if u go to help and options and click on "my stats" that's where it goes by. I was at 8 there and after 2 wins it popped

I'd just like to add that the 35 - 500 record seems way off. I've only got 4 wins and I'm sitting at 200+ losses already, almost all attributed to bad coin tosses or losses before I got started.

Mileage will vary, certainly, but those were my actual (ballpark) stats. I found that a good way to start was to pick a random center spot, and if the number is too high, move away from that area. If you don't have a path, play the probabilities.

This achievement will require both skill and luck, but mostly patience. You don't have to win the 10 rounds in a row or in one sitting, so take all the time you want to try. Don't be discouraged; you're going to be put in a lot of 50/50 situations and just get unlucky. One on stretch I got 5 puzzles in a row down to the last 2 boxes and lost because I chose the wrong one. This is probably going to happen to you too, so try not to let it get to you.
