How to unlock the Hard Little Ninja achievement in MINI NINJAS - Definitive Guide
The achievement is indeed simplistic, however it can be easily fouled up. When starting a new game, the game will prompt you create a new profile and then launch right into the opening cinematic, it will NOT ask you to select a difficulty and of course Normal (Medium) is the default.
To counter this and ensure that you get credit for Hard mode, which has so far proven to be remarkably easy, several levels in, do the following.
- Launch the game
- Go into Settings -> Difficulty (available prior to starting a new game)
- Change the difficulty to Hard
- Go into New Game -> Create a profile
- Play through, without changing the difficulty
This will ensure you get credit for hard difficulty and don't get several levels in on medium.

If you play this game on hard first the little ninja achievement will also unlock upon completion.

If you did go through the game on easy or medium, just switch the difficulty to hard and run through each of the levels. Most of the enemies can just be ran by so the levels don't take long to finish.

Hard Little Ninja
I have confirmed as of September 27, 2010 that this achievement can be obtained after beating the game on Easy or Medium Difficulty WITHOUT deleting profile.
1. Set the difficulty in the main menu to Hard.
2. Replay through all the levels.
Note 1: The game only keeps a background record of which levels you have played on Hard, so you should keep track yourself to avoid playing through a level again.
Note 2: Since you have already completed the levels, you can pretty much avoid most enemies and literally sprint through entire levels.
Note 3: To make this even more painless, use healing potions and heal as needed. WIth a fair amount of healing potions you can take as much damage from enemies and just heal and continue running. (After my first playthrough I had about 40 potions and I finished the game with 20+ left)
This game is not really that hard, even in Hard Mode.

Worked a charm, much easier and quicker than doing a full new playthrough on hard

Before even starting the game you need to go to the options menu and change the difficult to Hard.
Hard is manageable if you use all of the Ninjas and their special attacks and Kuji Magic with Hiro. There are some tough sections with lots of enemies closing in on you, I suggest using Shun and his bow to pick enemies off.
Once you have finished the final boss this trophy will unlock, as well as Little Ninja (completing the game on Easy/Normal).

Be sure to change the difficulty to hard before you start the game in the options menu. Don't worry hard is not hard at all.
You don't have to do multiple playthroughs since the difficulty achievements are stackable. Simply start your first playthrough on Hard Difficulty, which isn't hard at all. Once you finish level 22 "Evil Samurai Warlord", you'll be rewarded with three achievements being Restore Balance, Little Ninja and Hard Little Ninja.

ATTENTION!!!!!!!!! To get this achievement, before starting the game you need to go to the options and change the difficulty to Hard, only after that start the game, when you kill the final boss you will receive an achievement, if you play right away on Hard for the first time, then along with this achievement you will receive an achievement for more low difficulties. If you started the game without changing the difficulty to hard, then delete the safe from your storage and start again, just change the difficulty before starting.
