December 16, 2023 update - Third and hopefully last time rewriting this guide.
The achievement criteria has been changed again.
The criteria now reads "Use 100,000 gold."
Like all other iterations of this achievement, it's a cumulative goal you'll progress on over time for spending gold, and doesn't have to be done in one shot.
Gold is primarily earned from Daily Quests. Go to the Quests tab at the top of the screen after logging in to see what your tasks are for the day.
Gold can also be earned as rewards when leveling up the season pass.
Gold can be spent in the Shop on Daily Offers, or to buy Tokens. (At the time of writing this, 1 token is 1000 Gold, or you can buy a bundle of 10 for 9,000 Gold.)

I'm so confused. This is exactly how you unlock the achievement now yet it has 7 down votes? Thanks for the update!

You can claim and use 1 Resource Token per day by visiting the Power Tower and clicking 'Free Token' then clicking again on the token that appears below. This will give you either free gold or rubies and resets at 12am UK time.
For this achievement you must do so 100 times, and the 100 days do NOT have to be consecutive. There are also achievements for using resource tokens 20 and 50 times. Happy dueling

Im doing some pre-research before I get started, but I logged in and did a couple of the first fights, and I don't see this "Power Tower". Im assuming it's the thing at the back left I have to level up to use? Or is it tucked in a menu somewhere.

Correct, it's the tower at the back left. As far as I remember you can access the Power Tower once you've finished the tutorial. You can also use Power Tokens and Season Tokens there but I think Resource Tokens unlock at level 6. Hope that helps
