Tentacle 1: Top of Desert Ocean - No Requirements
One screen south of the sign maker camp (which is also two screens south and one screen west of the Desert Campsite) is the ocean side beach of the desert. The first tentacle is here.
Tentacle 2: Stand on a Crate in the Ocean - Coffee, Sword Thrower
There's a tentacle in the middle of the ocean that you can't reach. You have to travel from the screen you get the Press Pass on, push the crate into the ocean, and then use the Sword Thrower to hit the tentacle.
Tentacle 3: On the Way to Island House - Boatwood
While riding in the boat on the way to the Island House you'll pass by a tentacle. Make sure to be facing the correct way and be ready to hit it as you go by. You have a small window, otherwise you'll have to take another trip.
Tentacle 4: In Water Cooler in Sword Factory - Press Pass
Inside the Sword Factory there is a water cooler with a tentacle in it.
Tentacle 5: In Sewers - Flippers
Inside the sewers there is a room to the left that you can swim into. There's a shark in here, so you have to swim on the outside edges from box to box to get to the tentacle.
Tentacle 6: Lost Temple West - Flippers
Lost Temple West is where the octopus that wants all of the tentacles is. If you swim north you'll find another screen with a tentacle in it.
Tentacle 7: Treasure Island - Flippers
If you swim to the Treasure Island the Old Man by the Lighthouse talks about, then you will find this tentacle (along with a coin). From the Lighthouse swim one screen west and then swim south until you find the island with the chest with the coin in it.
Tentacle 8: Warps in Basement of Island House - Coffee, Flippers
In the warp area of the basement of the Island House, you can leave the screen via the south. When you travel down there you'll have to swim to the warps, go into the one on the right, warp left, push the crate into the water, and then hit the tentacle from the crate.

1. Inside the water cooler in the factory.
2. In the water during the boat ride. You'll need to rescue the guy in the desert by watering him, and then he'll direct you to the gardening glove, west of the sign maker. He'll be by his boat after that, and he'll need boatwood, which can be found near the stairs you took to get to the maze with all the snakes. Cut down the tall tree, and take the boatwood to him. The next time you wake up, his boat will be ready.
3. On the island, you'll need the flippers. In the teleporter puzzle, you'll need to end up at the bottom right, where you can walk down off the screen. You'll find two more teleporters, and the tentacle.
4. From the lighthouse, get into the water and swim left until you reach the rock, and then go down until you find a small island. You'll need to hit the tentacle from the island.
5. South from your first house, go south and get into the water where the river meets the ocean. Head right and you'll find a beach with a tentacle near it.
6. You'll need the flippers for this one. Right near the bar, you'll find a pot that requires 5 hits to break. It reveals a staircase, so head down and when you get underground, go left, staying near the bottom of the screen. You'll reach a flooded room with some floating crates scattered throughout it. You need to make your way through the room, sticking to the crates to avoid the shark, until you reach the bottom left corner.
7. From the ruined house where you find the press pass, exit left, and then push the crate into the water just above the tentacle. You will need to be able to throw your sword while standing on the crate to get it.
8. Head to the secret temple, and go left when you're inside. From the octopus room, swim up to the top right corner to find a secret room with the tentacle.

There are 8 total tentacles to find in the game. All of them are covered in the video guide found under the "MINIMALIST" achievement.

1. Head south from the minibus house, where there will be a group of snakes and a skeleton on the shore and a tentacle that can be hit from the shore.
2. From the area with the 2 archers that you need to kill to get through the river, go north and push the box to the west, then throw the box into the water to stand on it and throw the sword at the tentacle.
3. In the sewer under the pot near the coffee shop, there is a room filled with water with a shark swimming in it, so you need to move from box to box counterclockwise until you find the tentacle.
4. In the western room of the Mystic Temple, swim up to find a tentacle.
5. On the island, the path to which is told by the elderly man from theListener trophy, stand on the edge and hit the tentacle.
6. You can find a tentacle while traveling from the Tourist trophy.
7. Under the house on the island, you need to go right to the room with teleporters, there you need to get to the lower right corner, where you need to use the box as a platform to hit the tentacle.
8. After using the press pass, the last tentacle will be in the middle of the room.
Once you have obtained all the tentacles, do not forget to return to the Temple for your reward.
