How to unlock the Ribbie! achievement in MLB The Show 22 - Definitive Guide

I got this playing on Polo Grounds. It’s almost very hard to hit a perfect perfect homer given how deep the park is. You can almost always score on a deep fly ball perfect perfect to the deep center of the park. Now if you have someone on base and you hit a perfect perfect base hit, it almost always will guarantee a run scored.

I've gotten several hits that show the "Perfect" image when the next batter steps up, but not immediately after the ball is hit. It's usually a smidge to the left or right then. Some HR's, but that achievement never popped. How about some tips on getting this "perfect-perfect" thing. I've been playing The Show games for over a decade, and my timing seems pretty spot on but I've not seen an immediate perfect on the swing. Does it have to be a certain batting type (I use quadrant)? A minimum difficulty? Default/Live roster?

May want to add that you can also adjust sliders to make it easier to get a perfect hit (the human timing slider all the way to the right) but good tip for Polo Grounds (it's under classic stadiums I believe). I kept getting homers on other parks but got it literally my first at bat on this stadium. Thanks!

No problem. Polo grounds is literally one of the easier stadiums to play on.

Agreed with naberios. I have gotten all the requirements that I know of for the 3 perfect perfect achievements and still don't have them

Yeah, getting a perfect-perfect hit is so annoying, I've been playing since 06 and have great timing and play on the hardest difficulty but literally it's always the first or second that's perfect and the other shows as good either very slightly to the right or left. Both these perfect-perfect achievements are common so I don't know what the heck I'm doing wrong.

I mean I feel that rookie difficulty is the easiest. And honestly you could try turning up your sliders for contact and power, because that can also be easier.

Also I tend to use directional. Because it basically does everything for you.

So it worked for you on Directional? That's what I was using (quadrant was my pitch guessing). I switched to Timing and got a couple Perfects & was able to pop this & the one for getting out, but wasn't able to get an HR. I have my sliders set for HRs (I get a stupid amount, that's not the problem), I just can't seem to get a perfect-perfect swing very well.

Retro mode did it for me. Not sure what I was doing wrong elsewhere but thanks!

Retro mode definitely did it for me with batting on amateur difficulty. I was only able to get a hand full of perfect hits and when I did there was either no one on base, it was a home run, or my runner couldn’t score. It’s funny how this was peoples first achievement and this was nearly my last.

If you guys are still having trouble, try playing in Retro mode. You don't get visual feedback when you get perfect timing, but either the timing window is more generous or it's easier to get into a groove with the pitches.

I was in the mode to try & get Coming In Hot!, and I popped the perfect-perfect HR achievement fairly quickly. Though I didn't realize it because it stealth popped & the app took 15 minutes to send a notification, so be aware of that so you're not wasting your time continuing to go for one of the perfect-perfect achievements when you already have it.

You will have to have a runner on base and score that runner with a perfect hit. Perfect hits have to do with timing, so as soon as you hit the ball you'll see the perfect rating. Once the other runner scores the achievement will unlock.
