How to unlock the NLB Historian achievement in MLB The Show 23 - Definitive Guide

Awarded for completing the Negro League story lines. This consists of the stories for 8 different players and a total of 74 episodes.
From the main menu, select The Negro Leagues under Game Modes. Most episodes are short and easy, with some only requiring you to steal a base or get 1 hit. The more difficult ones have you pitching 3 nearly perfect innings or hitting a home run. Even the harder ones should be no trouble. Not a tough achievement skill wise, just a bit lengthy and tedious.
I recommend watching the cutscenes if you're a true baseball fan. You'll learn much about these baseball legends that you've likely never heard of

This was the hardest and most time consuming Achievement in the game. Hitting is super RNG, you can barrel a ball and time your swing perfectly and still a line out. A lot of the challenges are pretty simple and easy, it’s the XBH and HR challenges that can be rough.
The Thompson line was definitely the hardest and was the last one I decided to do because of that. I spent a full day on the Thompson HR challenge alone. If you’re having trouble getting it, here’s some tips:
I realized that timing the swing perfectly and hoping it goes out might not be the best because it’s very hard to hit it out because of the ballpark dimensions. Even if you manage to get it in the air, it’ll be to the warning track at best. What you want to do is try to pull a HR down the right field line because it’s the shortest part of the ballpark.
I got it by POWER swinging earlier than I normally would, on a pitch high and inside of the zone. He immediately went into HR pimp cinematic and the achievement popped.

How the hell do you consistently get good hits as a batter? Had no issue in The Show 22 with the dynamic difficulty, I've tried making batting as easy as possible and in this mode almost every single swing is either a miss, foul ball or caught, even if it says swing timing is good and I use the direction influence option the best I can get is to first base. Pitching I haven't had trouble with
