Start an exhibition game and make sure you're playing as the HOME TEAM (right side I'm pretty sure)
When the game starts, you'll be pitching right away. Simply strike out the very first batter to get the achievement. If you mess up, you can pause, and then restart the game to try again.
If you play on rookie (easiest difficulty) it shouldn't be too difficult.
