I wasn't able to get this in the home run derby. I used an All Star Team on easy difficulty at Coors Field (that's where the Rockies play). That stadium is bigger and I was able to hit one that far without too much difficulty. The stadium is fairly large and historically is hitter friendly.

Coors Field worked well for me too using the Beasts against the Red Sox. I swapped out a couple players, but all of my home runs were fairly consistently high.
Ortiz @ 438, Vlad @ 451, Larry Walker @ 472 got me the achievement, and walked off the game with Jeter @ 476 which I was very surprised about

I used the Beasts against the Rockies on casual with the sliders altered. Hit a 499 foot home run with Sosa. Probably still on steroids.
