How to unlock the Living On the Field achievement in MLB The Show 24 - Definitive Guide

This won't take long. Why you ask? Well, player lock counts towards progress.
First off go to your settings at the top right main menu. Gameplay then cn_RT or cn_LT to get to Misc. and change these options:
CPU pitch delay Faster
Player lock game flow Skip to next appearance
Player lock baserunning opportunities none
Player lock fielding opportunities none

Save your new settings and back out to main menu and start up a classic exhibition game playing as the home team(right side). Change presentation mode to Fast Play and change innings to 3 and confirm. Choose your pitcher and on the batter lineup screen player lock any of the 7-9 hitters by hitting cn_RT on them and an icon will show up that they are locked.

Now start the game and you will have 1 at bat if any and the game will end after the at bat netting you around 4% progress towards this achievement on your tracker per game. At the end of the game choose exit post game and confirm restart and repeat. Within 30 mins achievement will be yours.

note: It happened to me once in all games but if your player gets injured you will have to exit the game and restart the process but shouldn't take to long.

Somehow I didn't even have to bat at all — it just auto-completed the game. Knocked it out in about 5 minutes just hitting confirm restart.

Great strat, took about 20 minutes. I did bunt as well to speed things up as well

If you set the difficulty to Beginner, the Pitcher will always throw the ball in the zone and you can just bunt every at bat to make it go even faster.

What an unbelievable strategy. Gg. Wish I saw this guide earlier but still saved me so much time.

You can hit confirm restart after the game and it will still count instead of having to go back to the main menu each time.

If you play free games of 3 innings long with a focus on one player (not the pitcher) you can do it in an hour. I played the career of a player as a batter/center fielder and it still turned out very quickly
