How to unlock the Tactician achievement in MONOPOLY DEAL - Definitive Guide

Try saving the "Deal Breaker" card until you have two full sets of properties. There are only two of them in the stack. Try also to save any "No" card you get until the very end so you can conter a "No" card that perhaps is used against your "Deal Breaker" card.

I've done this twice in a row and it hasn't unlocked. It might have to do with the fact the set I stole had a house on it both times?

Bl4ck blooc, I had the same thing. Set to win I stole had a house on it and did not get the Achievement.

In order to receive this achievement, you must use the Deal Breaker card to steal another player's full property set in your final turn to end the game.

I recommend doing this in a 2 player game vs a bot set on very easy, as the games tend to take 10-20 minutes depending on what objective you've set to reach for that particular game.

To set yourself up for the achievement, accumulate two full property sets on your board. Also, keep an eye on your opponent's board and make sure they have a full set created in a slot other than the two you already have occupied. When you receive a deal breaker card, select the card and select the set that you would like to steal from the other player.

As long as the other player doesn't use a "just say no" card, then you will win and the achievement will pop.

**If you are having trouble getting the deal breaker card to appear, don't panic. The game allows you to end your turn if you don't want to place a card on the table. For unnecessary action cards, you can add them to the bank and free up space in your hand. If you have more than 7 cards, you will be required to discard any extras before switching turns. I would suggest discarding any property cards that you will not need, and just continue being patient and careful, making sure you don't accidentally finish another set and win the game while you wait for a Deal Breaker card to appear in your hand**

Hit ya with a positive thumbs up. Definitely trying to be patient is a big key here, twice I've built up and accidentally put down a railroad or electric company and wasted my time haha. Solid solution playa

Cards Needed for Person Going for Achievement:

  • Deal Breaker card

Partner Needs:

  • A full set.

Once you and your partner have the cards above, simply throw down a deal breaker on a set that your partner has that consists of anything BUT an all-colors wild card that is included in a set as you cannot deal break that. The deal breaker will allow you to take a completed set from an opponent free of charge, but you must ensure that you do not have any cards of the set you are taking on your own board.

Setup:

1) Complete two monopolies in your property collection.
2) Draw and retain a Deal Breaker card.
3) Allow the A.I opponent to complete a monopoly; Very-Easy-level A.I opponents will eventually complete a monopoly but you can force it earlier by using a Forced Deal card to complete a monopoly for them.
4) Use your Deal Breaker card to steal the opponent's monopoly, giving you three monopolies and ending the game.

You must have a purple "Rip the Deal" card (there are only two in the deck).

Collect two complete sets from yourself, wait for your opponent to collect 1 complete set and on your turn throw a “break the deal” card, pointing to his complete set. Just in case, have a "Just Say No" card with you, although the light AI will mostly throw it into the bank.
