How to unlock the Out of Stock achievement in MONOPOLY PLUS - Definitive Guide

Start a 6 player local multiplayer game using 1 controller. All human, no AI.

When the game starts, auction every property a player lands on and win it with your player.

During your turn add 4 houses to every property you own. (You have to own a full color set in order to buy a house.)

If you run out of money, just trade with another player. Give M1 and take everything you need from the other player.

Once you buy and place down 32 houses, which is 8 properties that have 4 houses each on them, you will get the achievement.

I didn't think this game could frustrate me so much, but I can't for the life of me buy a damn house. I own all properties of a few different colors and the RB -50M option is blinking, but pressing RB does nothing for me. Any advice?

You have to own a full set of colors to buy a house. If not, the option will not be available. I'll add that to my solution above.

I've run into the same problem a @ChrisAldin. I owned every property but two on the board, built 8 houses, did the trade to get the two complete sets and since then I can't build anymore houses. Insanely frustrating. I assume it's just a glitch.

Did you pick any special house rules or anything? I left mine as a normal game.

I was following the TA walkthrough so it was using one of the rules. I did another game and got it no problem. I believe it was doing a trade on the same turn I had just bought houses but who knows.

Does one player have to own all the houses or playing a local 6 player match you just have to have all the houses on the board don't you?

I too had the "can't buy" glitch. Quitting the game and reloading it fixed it for me.

I can't buy any houses either which is why I checked the guides. I also did did the trade achievement on this play through as well. I could have got all the achievements in one game if not for this glitch.

The Achievement worked for me. November 2017.
I got this and all achievements in one game with only me against one AI, except for 6 player achievement for obvious reason. ;)

I deducted the amount of players down to 4 and it's allowing me to purchase houses. I reloaded my game with 6 players and even created a new game with 6 players and the option wasn't available so I don't think it's buggy.

An easier way to unlock this achievement is by doing a 6 player game (no AI), selecting single controller gameplay, and selecting the house rule "property improvements."

Once that is all done, all you have to do is win 8 properties by auction and save enough money to build 4 houses on each property.

I suggest going from the maroon properties to the Orange due to the fact that their house prices range from $50-$100.

To get this trophy, the bank must run out of houses (not hotels) and have none left to sell. This requires that there be at least 3 monopolies on the board since each property can have four houses and the most number of properties a monopoly can have is three.

You can make this pretty easy by making a two player game, control both players, auction the properties as you land on them for $11 each, and then trade money and properties to player one. Once you have enough monopolies, build up the houses, and reap the rewards.

Keep in mind that buying a hotel will put the four houses on that property back in to the bank.

Because of its nature, this trophy can pretty easily be done alongside the "Now We Can Play" trophy and the "Business Master" trophy.

The bank owns 32 houses. There are 23 properties on the board that can have houses on them totaling up to 92 possible spots for a house meaning that the bank will exceed the number of houses it owns long before every property can have max houses. This can be done by a savvy player who owns enough color patches and can just put houses on their property to run the bank dry or by using the technique below.

One way to see this happen is to use the one-controller technique and to have each controller own a specific color and work on building houses in that color. Once the bank runs out you will net the achievement.

To earn this trophy, you need to purchase every house the bank has to offer. The bank owns 32 total houses and there are 22 properties eligible to have houses placed on them (for a total of 88 possible house locations), therefore you will run out of houses long before you run out of properties to place them on.

To earn this trophy, you must buy all the houses that the bank has to offer. There are 22 plots and each can accommodate a maximum of 4 houses, so in theory there could be 88 houses, but there are only 32 of them in the bank, so you won’t have to wait long.
