How to unlock the Gold Ecologist's Award achievement in Monster Hunter Rise - Definitive Guide
This award is given to hunters who photograph all endemic life that appears throughout all the maps. All of these need to be photographed in order to unlock the achievement.
Many are also reporting that you need
to complete this one.
Appears on any map:
red/orange/green/yellow spiritbird: The creatures that give you extra hp, stamina, defense, or affinity.
Prism Spiritbug: Spiritbug that gives you full health and stamina. Only found either at the start of rampage quests or Arena quests.
wirebug: The creatures that give you a third wirebug charge.
vigorwasp: The creatures that refill hp while standing in their aura.
clothfly: Small white butterfly creature that boosts defense when used.
butterflame: Small red butterfly that boosts affinity when used.
peepersects: Small floating batches of yellow butterfly’s that release dust that ups stamina.
Rock / Boulder /scale lizard: These are little lizards crawling around on areas of the map. I often find rock and Boulder lizards near sub-camp 2 in the lava caverns map. Scale lizard is the rare one and can only spawn once per hunt. attached are screenshots of where to find one in the shrine forest.

Great Wirebug: The wirebugs you place down to go flying in the air.
Golden / Gilded Spiritbug: these are the little golden bugs that you can collect on each map. Golden Spiritbugs are only in Low rank quests while Gilded spiritbugs are only in High rank quests
Found on specific maps:
Flashfly: Floating yellow bugs used to flash monsters and stun them. Found in Ancient Forest and Sandy Plains
Cutterfly: Dragonfly looking creature that gives affinity up to the hunter. Found in every local but Frost Lands.
Tricktoad: Floating fishlike creature that lures the monster to them when used. Found in Flooded Forest and Lava Caverns
Pincercrab: Giant crab creatures native to the Sandy Plains cliffsides that will fire rocks at monsters when hunters run over them.
Giganha: Native to the Flooded Forest, these jumping fish can be found wherever there is water. These spawn right next to the main camp and just jump out of the water.
Echobat: Native to the Lava Caverns, these endemic life fly in groups and can be found throughout the local.
Frost lands:
Red / Yellow / Green / Golden Lampsquid: These will be harder to photograph. These are the endemic life that swim around in the water and give you buffs similar to the spiritbirds but they swim fast.
Lucky Life: Found randomly on quests on every map. You will see a popup with either an owl or crow to indicate witch one you saw.
Fortune Owl
Felicicrow

I can also confirm that you need the rare endemic life from each of the locales for this one. After snapping Hellbill for #5, this and Silver Ecologist's Award popped.

Generally speaking, this achievement is pretty straightforward and can be done easily and quickly. The only thing that's a big difficult are the Lucky Life Endemic life forms because their spawns are random.
The fastest way to get Lucky Life pictures is 1) to pick a map and learn the lucky life spawn locations, 2) pick an easy quest (any quest no matter what level) that you can do quickly, 3) run the quest, running past all the spawn locations, checking them each time, 4) rinse and repeat until the Lifeforms spawn. Generally speaking, you should be able to get them both (Owl and Crow) after about 10-15 repetitions.
The way I did this, I ran the level 1 Village Quest Impious Peons on Shrine Ruins, which as 4 Lucky Life spawns. (I would include pictures, but since I play on PC there's no way for me to share captures.) This quest requires you to kill 8 Jagras. I chose a Palamute as my companion. After forging him a nice weapon he could kill the Jagras in two hits each. I could complete my quest and run past the spawn points without ever getting off the Palamute in about two minutes.
This map, linked below, gives the lucky life spawn locations on Shrine Ruins.

if you want to share the pictures, since you play on PC you could always screenshot the pictures.

+1. Thank you, this worked great. Worth noting that the Fortune Owl and Felicicrow appear as icons on the minimap when you are near. So, as you suggest, can do a quick lap without stopping or inspecting the spawn areas.
