How to unlock the Fan of Ascendancy achievement in Monster Hunter Rise - Definitive Guide

This achievement you get for completing "Advanced: The Veterans' Gala" 6* Village quest.
After you complete all quests from 1* to 6* the 6* category will get a blue check mark indicating that there will be more quests later. After you beat the hub quests with Ibushi and Narwa (first encounters, not the endgame quests), you will unlock the quest.

Well my guide was not good i admit that.
But i‘m pretty sure i was one of the first people to unlock this achievment on xbox.
And you can check my profile and see i earned that achievment before killing ibushi and narwa. You just gotta complete all other village quests to unlock it. Because i finished everything in the village before i even did one hub quest. And also including that“the veterans gala“ quest which grants you the achievment. 😇

I did all village quest before touching hub both on pc and on xbox and what you're saying didn't happen to me. I got a blue check mark. To be fair it's properly level related but can't tell for sure. But it all ties up nicely after you kill those two elders AND have done all the village quests up to. Assuming you aren't farming on the side in expeditions

Man, this would be a ton easier if the damn monsters would fight each other. But no, they practically sit down and have a cup of tea together. Even that psychotic ape barely does anything when bagel goose shows up and then it's only incidental to attacking you.

I just finished Veteran's Gala like 30 minutes ago, so I might as well write this guide while the memory is still fresh. You're going to be facing off against a Rajang, a Bazelgeuse and a Magnamalo, in that order. Rajang has a devastating thunder attack, Bazelgeuse is fire and (I think) blast while Magnamalo is hellfire. It's hard to do a build that's strong in all those resistances, so pick one to concentrate on or just ignore them. I chose Hellfire because I felt it was the most dangerous.

You're going to want to go in there prepared with every possible advantage you can accrue. I went in with a full complement of a pitfall trap, a shock trap, potions, megapotions, might seeds, adamant seeds, mega armorskin, tranq bombs, flash bombs, sonic bombs. I recommend capturing at least one of the monsters because you need to get them out of the way asap so you can deal with the next one.

Since this is an arena match, bear the fence in mind. It's impossible to finish a monster off when you're constantly being harassed by another one, so you have to use the fence to separate them. Bringing a Palamute along is a good way to ensure you can get to the switch (those buttons on the centerline of the arena near the walls) when you have to.

Now let's go over the enemies individually.

First, the Rajang. His head is highly vulnerable to blunt damage. Fortunately, I am a sword and shield main so I just had to bunch him in the face a few times with shield bashes and Metsu silkbind attacks. I attacked his backside a lot when he was enraged (when his hair turns light), because that's the safer end where the attacks aren't coming from. Remember to keep Rajang in your FOV at all times. No matter the distance, you are never safe. On a number of occasions, while I was riding away on my Palamute, trying to heal, he killed me with the lightening beam he shoots out of his mouth. In fact, he did it even though I was behind one of those little wooden towers in the Arena. Bringing skills like Slugger, and Stamina thief, and ordering Dango Specialist and Dango Slugger, as well as a good blunt weapon should make quick work of Rajang. Of course, there's plenty of other ways of doing it, but this is how I did it.

Next, there's Bazelgeuse who flies around dropping bombs on you and breathing fire. His head and tail are both good weakspots, and very large targets. It can be kind of hard to damage him while he's in the air, so you need to knock him out of the sky. Sword and shield mains can do this with a Falling shadow or a well placed Metsu. If you are on fire, you can put it out by rolling. The evade button is your best friend.

As for Magnamalo, I deal with him by sticking very close and using evade and guard a lot. I brought level one Ironwall and level three evade window. I would shield bash him in the head, roll beneath him and hit his front legs and stomach, roll way into a guard, and then try to do it again. Level one Hellfire cloak is very useful. If he's being difficult by running all over the map and making leaping tackles, slow him down with flash bombs. Hellfire blight can also be put out by rolling. The head, tail and armblades are all good weakpoints.

Anyway, I'm sorry to talk about sword and shield so much but I don't know the other weapons very well. Obviously there are so many potential tactics and ways of winning this fight. IMHO a very fun quest. Good luck.
