This is pretty straight forward. Simply, hop on the backs of a bunch of different small monsters by pressing B. I used the Jagras, Aptonoth, Apceros, Kelbi and Popo since these were the easiest. The achievement popped for me after riding monsters between 5 to 10 times.

I was just about to make a post, I hopped on 10 or so monsters and got kinda frustrated that wasn't any information online and kinda left it at that. Once I completed the quest to be able to summon them I summoned one and it popped right away.

That may coincide with getting the achievement, not sure at the moment.
